Yeah. She mentioned how her mother, Mary Stallings, who sang with Jazz legends Count Basie and Dizzie Gillespie, recieved tips from Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan. And then her mother passed them on to her. She has a magical tone on record, and its sounds just as beautiful in her live performance. Also she has an in incredible warmth on stage. Sincere and humble. That's one of the things that stood out to me, as well as the power, range and beauty of her voice.
