Hey guys I have a question, I’m thinking of taking lesson from a professional drummer. Do you think it’s a good idea to pay 40 dollars per lesson and its only 30 minute long or I just learn from youtube people? And what do they teach you since you already know like basic beat? Thanks
@majestytd I'm a professional drum teacher and that seems rather high. Shop around. I offer a free trial lesson and you should seek out instructors that are willing to do that so that you have nothing to loose by trying it out. If you are in the BostonMassachusetts area look me up. I charge $25 per half hour, $35 for 45 minutes and $45 an hour and I have 20 years teaching experience. Good luck with your search!
not alone at all, im 35 and just bought a set and trying to learn to play for the very first time. any comments besides go kill myself or anything like that
@sniperdaddy01 you might want to pick up a few set of sticks cause when they break it sucks having to wait for more to arrive or going to get some more from the store.
hey dude, sup? hey im a disabled wheelchair dude,,the question is ...to the kick pedal of bass drum ,how is the action,i wear AFO braces ,is there movement in the ankle ?or just up n down movement stomping on it it?
Hey!! somos una academia de musica, hacemos tutoriales de todos los instrumentos en español! ojalá se puedan dar una vuelta por nuestro canal, saludos musicales!! :D
ol i jut started and this was SO helpfull. Don't hate, thats why were called begginers :P if this is too easy just go to an intermediate lesson, so simple :)
Prob is if there is no room in your house for a drum kit, I gotta do a hell of alot of sweet talking to a friend to let me borrow theirs. Nightmare -.-
@CrazyCookieMonster6 not really. you can use other things in place for drums. just need like a pillow and a small table or something and just practice tapping your foot on ground and hitting the pillow for snare and then taping something for your hi hat.
IF YOUR A DRUMMER, i would love it if you could check out my channel and give me feedback, advice and questions :) <3 Let the drumming community grow! :D
Thanks! I'm a beginner in drums..I some how got into band at school. And I was chosen for percussion and I had no Idea how to play treble or bass on drums. Thanks! :D
CALLING ALL DRUMMERS.... As you can probably tell from my acount name, im Jack - And im a drummer! Im a small youtuber who mainly does cover stuff, and it would mean the world if some of you (No matter what level of experience) could check out some of my videos and give me some constructive feedback? :)
Learning the basics is a lot different than see a live show huh. When he counted to four, I didn't do it right either, I took off my shoes and used all fingers and toes. I guess I just really wanted to learn how to play. Watching this lesson slowed me down a bit so now I have better timing to play. 1, 2, 3, 4. Thank you for the upload. I'm going to expand on this now.
@noisedownloader Hi there, how are you. I was in a pretty good mood when I watched this lesson. I can't play, so it slowed me down to understand that slowing down and count the beats is great, to a great simple drum beat. This guy is a good teacher. I'm not taking you seriously anyway. Have fun watching videos. @#$% you type of words to me is over used any way by some people. Have fun with music.
@unclesam6 Sorry for the voice crack, I figured after 4 1/2 minutes of talking and teaching, I'm not going to stop and start over... I'm amazed that people actually listen for voice cracks... Thanks for watching!
@matimaui Maybe if it was just the Snare the Hi-hat and the Bass it would be conmfortable. But in a more complete drum set the Hi-hat would stand in the way of changing from snare to toms and it would be simply ackward. If you refer to the far right (near the floor tom), then I think that would be either too far for some people, Hh also has a pedal, that would mean using left foot for bass and it could make for a very ackward position. You can arrange it like you were left-handed thou :P.

@mitchem890 Dude, you hit a wall because rudiments bore you. . My "go to" fills often involve double and triple paradiddles around the toms. Some of my quickest hi-hat work is a result of hours of double stroke rolls on a practice pad while watching TV. You think you hit a wall.
