"Who Benefits From War?" is an excellent CD! Everyone that watched this Youtube video and liked what they saw/heard should definitely buy the music these guys worked so hard to create.
No. Technically, Vote Hezbollah was the first band that started out explicitly as a "Taqwacore" band.
Either way, Al-Thawra started before we knew Taqwacore existed. Like us, a lot of the other first-generation Taqwacore band were doing this before we knew it existed. We (The Kominas, Al-Thawra, Vote Hezbollah, Secret Trial 5, Omar Waqar, etc) all gathered around the banner, and solidified our identities as "Taqwacores" when we toured together.
isnt it also fighting the goverment scums and all the racist shit around the world?? will muslim punk rock fights another racist shit and do alot of things against human rights and thats Zionism my friend!!it's a racist movement started by racist jewish from isreal and other countries!!
*shrugs* Honestly, I think everyone should just let pplz do as they please b/c we don't know their intentions and we have no right in judging any of these musiciansor others. If people don't want to listen to them that's up to them. But let Allah be the judge when the time comes. i'm not saying if i think what their doing is good or bad. Just let them go about what their doing, Inshallah it might turn out for the good.
I agree with you 100%, thats exactly why I am an atheist. But if you are going to follow a religion then you have to play by that religions rules. Cannot just pick and choose which of your religions rules you are going to follow without the rest of the people in your religion branding you as a heretic and in islam getting branded a heretic can be deadly. Good luck with that man, peace!
That makes no sense. Atheist stick to black or white - you either you believe in God or not. Religion has always been open for interpretation. You can choose what the significance of revealed stories are and its up to you to choose what you follow. No religion has ever had a following of 100%.
Heretic? Ask the Catholic church they are the ones that created the word. Death sentence? Where do you get your preformed misconceptions on Islam? Clearly not from primary knowledge, but most likely from the filtered out and rebadged tv shows. Everyone is entitled to their opinion - oh wait sorry nobody can have interpretations.....
I get my info from the same place every else does: wikipedia. If you think wikipedia is wrong then go change it. Just keep in mind that a lot of islamic scholars wrote that page and they dont like people that dont have a degree in islamic studies messing with it. I know I have tried.
It really disgusts me how people make up their own religion as they go along and dont see how this his how all religious began to start with. You just pulled that out of the air just like the rest if the religious texts. It is all just made-up but then people write it down and say it is from god and then they fly planes into building if people don't follow it word for word.
Our differences aside, I think we at least agree that music is not forbidden. That was my point. We don't have to agree on where music comes from or if it upsets the gods or not that we get joy out of it. The point is that music is good.
Cheers from Bangladesh!

Open for interpretation? Then explain the word heretic. And explain why it is a death sentence to leave islam.

It is funny how human rules, prudishness, and attempts to be scrupulous create a culture that is more rigid than God Himself.
I for one believe that music is a gift from God.
