I have wonderful news! We got the full report in today. The motility is normal and so is the morphology! His count is low, but he has an appt with a urologist in Dec. His primary dr said that LSP is an easy thing to remedy! :)

Ok, here's the scoop so far. We are awaiting the full report. The initail count for him is low, being under only 1 million per ml, which is bad. But, we are waiting to hear the morphology report. the liquification was normal for him. I really think there may be a possibility that the test may be off. He was a little "pressured" to do it, and the results werent, well, lets just say, there wasnt much to work with, LOL. So, we are waiting for the full report. I will keep you posted! :)
I have heard of women conceiving when their partner's sperm count was this low. Motility will be important. Some andrologists have techniques to improve conception by semen washing techniques. You still have hope. Let us know how it goes.

It can be really difficult for men to provide a good sample at the lab. And yes, what you said suggests that the pressure may have impacted the result. I would not get too worried yet. It is nice to have a microscope so you can have a look at home. You might try producing a sample at home and taking it to the lab. Generally, they will accept a sample less than an hour old. If you try this keep the sample warm by keeping it close to your body during the drive. Good luck!

Semen is white initially. After 15 minutes to an hour it liquefies and turns translucent. The only way to know if you are fertile is to look at a sample under a microscope. Thats what they do when you take a sample in for a semen analysis.
I am not sure exactly what your question is. Sperm are alive but they are so small you cannot see them without a microscope. Sperm actually make up a pretty small portion of the, uh, sample. Mostly it is nutrients and pH adjustment to help the sperm along their way.

I have wonderful news! We got the full report in today. The motility is normal and so is the morphology! His count is low, but he has an appt with a urologist in Dec. His primary dr said that LSP is an easy thing to remedy! :)

Ok, here's the scoop so far. We are awaiting the full report. The initail count for him is low, being under only 1 million per ml, which is bad. But, we are waiting to hear the morphology report. the liquification was normal for him. I really think there may be a possibility that the test may be off. He was a little "pressured" to do it, and the results werent, well, lets just say, there wasnt much to work with, LOL. So, we are waiting for the full report. I will keep you posted! :)

I have heard of women conceiving when their partner's sperm count was this low. Motility will be important. Some andrologists have techniques to improve conception by semen washing techniques. You still have hope. Let us know how it goes.

He was pressured and did not even come CLOSE to the same amount he would...ummmmm, give during normal relations. It is usually a large amount and for the test, it was only a couple drops. It can be really difficult for men to provide a good sample at the lab. And yes, what you said suggests that the pressure may have impacted the result. I would not get too worried yet. It is nice to have a microscope so you can have a look at home. You might try producing a sample at home and taking it to the lab. Generally, they will accept a sample less than an hour old. If you try this keep the sample warm by keeping it close to your body during the drive. Good luck!

Semen is white initially. After 15 minutes to an hour it liquefies and turns translucent. The only way to know if you are fertile is to look at a sample under a microscope. Thats what they do when you take a sample in for a semen analysis.

I am not sure exactly what your question is. Sperm are alive but they are so small you cannot see them without a microscope. Sperm actually make up a pretty small portion of the, uh, sample. Mostly it is nutrients and pH adjustment to help the sperm along their way.
