  • W7CI doesn't QSL

  • OK, I'm hooked. I want. I need to save up.

I first saw this featured in two issued of Monitoring Times about a year ago, but this is the first online demo I've ever seen.

The 3000 is perfect. 100 watts is just right. Don't want 5 watts, don't need more than 100 watts.

Say, is there a software defined CW keyer? If not, My MFJ is compact and will do fine.

  • Hi!! really good video,,, you can connect a linear amplifier to the flex-3000?

  • I don't have a 5000 to compare it too, but I have heard over and over again that the 5000 is only slightly better. I use mine next to a $3800 major-brand radio that is one of the most popular current radios available. The Flex 3000 is far better.

Yes, the fans are too loud..but you can put it under the table because it is connected by firewire cable.

  • How does the 3000 compare to the 5000? I hear the receiver is not quite a good. Also that the fan is a little loud.

  • Thank you Bob Very Good ill be buying one

  • George-

You should be fine. Just follow the instruction in the box.

There is a chance you'll have "issues", so be prepared to call

Dudley at Flex. The PC has enough power.

Be patient and you'll be rewarded with an amazing radio experience.

  • Name here is George Osier , N2JNZ in Ogdensburg , NY . I am getting a Flex 1500 next week and saw your comment on your computer you use. I’m hoping for no problems here. I have a Acer 7741Z with Pentium P6000 dual core at 1.86 GHZ and a 3 MB L3 cache plus 3 GB DDR3 RAM and Win 7 64 bit.

I hoping this will be up to the task !!! It scored 678 on the Benchmark test but with some latency issues due to some drivers I have to check out. Hope it all works ..... 73

  • Oops, looks like Youtube has delayed the video Vs.. Audio by about 3 seconds. I'll re-compress the video and re-submit it to try and get the audio/video synchronized. In actual operation, the display and incoming audio are synchronized.
