It's a fun game but I think you make big hands much more often than in live or online poker (as you saw on this vid). Also opponents do not calculate pot odds at all. They'll raise $5000 and then fold their last $100 when you re-raise them. So pretty lousy AI. Very easy to spot weak patterns in the game and overall it's very VERY easy to win.

But you must remember anyone playing this game is going to be a complete donk and wouldn't know what pot odds are (let alone implied odds)Any serious player wouldn't waste their time playing without money involved. Who knows, it could even bring a few more fish to the tables at Stars and FT after giving them false confidence in their game...

yes you should. also in the portrait mode you can just double tap the layout to check, push your chips foward to go all in and push your cards forward to muck (fold) them.

There is an app for the itouch and iphone called cube runner and I can play vertically or horizontally, so there is another game that makes use of that feature u were talking about, you can look at my 4 favorite ipod app video and it is in there.

hey do you need wi-fi connection to be able to download and play these game applications, such as Texas Holdem, or does the wi-fi just enable you to be able to play multiplayer games??

You *can* download them on the ipod/iphone through wifi -- but a better option would be to do it through iTunes. Especially since games like Texas Hold'Em are rather large downloads. (127 mb in this case)

Once installed, you don't need an active wifi connection for single player. Obviously, you do need a network connection to play multiplayer.
