No disrespect but the whole point of SCROG is to fill the whole screen with nodes from lower branches etc. You just have the top of your plants sticking through the SCROG net, and all thats doing is supporting the plant. In a real SCROG you spread the branches out so the lower nodes are going through the net, and your net should be full of NODES before you even start flowering. Your losing a lot of yield, especially since your light is so close to your plants.
You're better off purchasing a 48" x 50' green vinyl fencing with a 3" x 2" hole spacing. It's a LOT better than the twine. It will give you the support that you need.
With the addition of a few 600's or even a couple of 1000 watt lights you could increase your yields by 50% up to 200% No joke! Along with the overall quality of your final product.

I can't understand why you would do this from seed. If this was outdoor, no harm no foul. But you're paying for all that empty space in your scrog. The scrog should be almost completely full - that's the whole point of scrog, to get the maximum yield per light.
My advice, use clones. It's really easy, and you know for sure what you're getting.

@beanzntoast I started off with 1,000s, then T5s, also tried 600s. I got the best result from T5s with the scrogging method. Bud density is the biggest difference and also the potency of the buds. According to my patients, they prefer the meds grown from the T5s. It's all about preferences though, so stick to what your patients love.
This has probably been asked but, how do you like the LED's, what's the wattage, how much heat ect.... pretty much everything you like and dislike about them. great grow BTW.... love the scrog method.

@FatgirlMickey I've been using the T5s now for two years. I started with the 1,000 watts HPS and metal halide. I would have to say that I yield more using the T5s with the scrogging method. I believe that getting the bud sites as close to the lights is the key. The buds that I have are a lot denser than what I produced from the 1,000 watts.
@YourMedMJ wow thanks for sharing your experience in the two. Ive decided to grow and can use all the info I can get so I can have the healthiest plants and the greatest yield. LEDs are so expensive I decided unless they yielded twice the weed it would not be worth it to buy the lights. Not to mention they are so heavy. Happy growing.

@Super420grow Hey, everyone's been a nube so there's no reason for name calling. As for trimming under the canopy, it directs the energy to the bud sites. Look up "lollipopping." Also, with scrogging, the leaves under the canopy hardly gets any light and will eventually die off.
I've been looking in vain for a scrog video that actually gives information but I haven't found on yet. Most weed videos all want to showcase their choice of music and simply show off their bauds. What kind of power bill spike would I get some a grow room of this size? I've heard stories about people getting raided because the power use got pigs attention.
looks like good pot.. im expirimenting right now with a 150 W hps and a 68 watt cfl in the corner down low. and im just noticing the difference between the buds which are closer to the hps and the ones that are right up against the cfl .. basically all the buds that are a little to close to the hps have stretched out weird looking calyxs on top but there growing much faster. the buds by the cfls are more moisty and in a way healthyer looking but there just small and not getting bigger veryquick

hey big fan of your educational services here.......i am a first time grower and have been planning my adventure for about 8 months now i have read everything i can i am going with organic soil method using subcools soil recipie.... thinking of "scrog" and have one qusetion! after you harvest the tops i notice that there are less developed bud sites... can you still flower the lower bud sites once your fully developed tops have been harvested? or does the whole plant come down?
@RasClaatDredlocK Yes, you can still let the lower bud sites flower longer. You'll have to add nutes especially if you've been flushing for 10 - 14 days.

@TENSOR150 1 - I used to have 1,000 watts HID lights. Sorry, I do not like all the heat that it produced. As for bud density, the T5 is great and produce great buds especially when scrogged. 2 - You're right, at that time, I purchased feminized seeds and unfortunately, I got charged for feminized seeds but was given regular seeds which had males, females, and hermaphrodites. I did not know anyone at that time to purchase clones from. 3 - I do not use brown twine anymore.

@kjr12341 I like my T5s. They do produce heat but it's not anything like the 600s or 1000 watts hps or metal halide. I would recommend a T5 for a closet grow. Make sure you have intake and outtake fans.

@TheNarcoleptica I have read that the feminzed seeds if the plants are stressed can still turn into the male plant so I dont mess with them. I guess it is up to the person. I would much rather know the plants are female.

@YourMedMJ I really want to know how long you have been useing T-5 lights in the bud stage? I have heard of them being used in the veg stage but not the bud stage. Also have you ever used other lights in the bud stage and if so was there a better yield for the money spent? Also love the song wish it was longer.

@Super420grow Hey, everyone's been a nube so there's no reason for name calling. As for trimming under the canopy, it directs the energy to the bud sites. Look up "lollipopping." Also, with scrogging, the leaves under the canopy hardly gets any light and will eventually die off.

I've been looking in vain for a scrog video that actually gives information but I haven't found on yet. Most weed videos all want to showcase their choice of music and simply show off their bauds. Nothing wrong with that I guess but dang a nuts & bolts video for those of use who know nothing of scrog would be nice.
I'm not hating on your vid I actually like it, but do you know of any vids that has actual info & gives details like ideal mesh size etc?
Nice vid though I don't mean to be whiny.

What about LED's as a lighting source? they dont use near the wattage of HPS and high electricity usage alerts authorities... i seen some plants grown under LED's and they were very nice. & healthy. my question is, are they efficient as a lighting source or a waste of time?

looks like good pot.. im expirimenting right now with a 150 W hps and a 68 watt cfl in the corner down low. and im just noticing the difference between the buds which are closer to the hps and the ones that are right up against the cfl .. basically all the buds that are a little to close to the hps have stretched out weird looking calyxs on top but there growing much faster. the buds by the cfls are more moisty and in a way healthyer looking but there just small and not getting bigger veryquick

hey big fan of your educational services here.......i am a first time grower and have been planning my adventure for about 8 months now i have read everything i can i am going with organic soil method using subcools soil recipie.... thinking of "scrog" and have one qusetion! after you harvest the tops i notice that there are less developed bud sites... can you still flower the lower bud sites once your fully developed tops have been harvested? or does the whole plant come down?

@RasClaatDredlocK Yes, you can still let the lower bud sites flower longer. You'll have to add nutes especially if you've been flushing for 10 - 14 days.

sorry to be negative but.... #1 stop being cheap and get some HID lights. proven the best time and time again. #2 looks like you didn't fill out your space. #3 NEVER use brown twine. learned that myself way back when the little fibers stick to all the buds.

@TENSOR150 1 - I used to have 1,000 watts HID lights. Sorry, I do not like all the heat that it produced. As for bud density, the T5 is great and produce great buds especially when scrogged. 2 - You're right, at that time, I purchased feminized seeds and unfortunately, I got charged for feminized seeds but was given regular seeds which had males, females, and hermaphrodites. I did not know anyone at that time to purchase clones from. 3 - I do not use brown twine anymore.

@kjr12341 I like my T5s. They do produce heat but it's not anything like the 600s or 1000 watts hps or metal halide. I would recommend a T5 for a closet grow. Make sure you have intake and outtake fans.
