I've been looking to build a press for some time. I like the design you guys have set up with the grinder. Where is the irrigation district where i can get one of the head gates things? I live in east wenatchee. If you have any advice on building one let me know. thanks!
It is very very very little bleach in a whole lot of water. It is the common practice to use bleach or something similar (and just as poisonous in large quantities, like say, soap!) even in commercial apple juice. As you can see, appleas are washed off and rinse water is rotated. And it is way better than getting e.coli, my friend.
At 1:55 I was like "holy crap he's gonna hand press them apples"..

e coli is not a problem if you pasteurize the juice or ferment to hard cider
