com sentimentos, quando escuto Muse pelo menos para mim, parece que o mundo recebeu uma 2º chance, Muse possui letras que falam sobre o "fim do mundo" aliens na terra, o incrível de tudo isso é que MUSE aumenta meu astral. ^^
This and Uprising are both so epic. This song reminds me so much of Queen. It's just lovely, lovely, lovely. If you haven't listened to Uprising, do so!
I think any top ten, if you like Muse, kind of depends on what mood you're in. Some bands have one perfect tune that all, or almost all, their songs aspire to - Muse have some songs which are similar to each other, but there are no Muse songs much like this one for example. Some are quiet and relaxing - falling away with you - others are more like hysteria and uprising. Starlight is completely different to both. I'd put them all in seperate lists and wouldn't compare them.
This is another in a select line of classic eye-opening Muse epics. My top ten (including this song): 1) Stockholm Syndrome 2) New Born 3) United States of Eurasia 4) Knights of Cydonia 5) Apocalypse Please 6) Plug In Baby 7) Hysteria 8) Bliss 9) Take a Bow 10) Citizen Erased
My faves of Muse are their space-rock songs, such as Knights Of Cydonia. I love that genre, with all the arppegiators and synths! I like songs that take you on a journey; Knights of Cydonia does exactly that. It has a different format to that of a typical song, and I love it. Who agrees?
It's been played out though. I love the song, but it seems that it's the only one that anyone knows by them, as it has been on Guitar Hero and the Movie Ghost Rider. After all that, I've learned to dislike the Knights of Cydonia. Muse has way more to offer than that song.
Stockholm Syndrome, Falling Away With You, Apocalypse Please, New Born, Assassin.... So many good songs aside from that cursed Knights of Cydonia.
I toally agree with people who thinks that this album has been closely influenced by Queen and others great rock ancesters. This song underlines this fact especially at 1:19.. Queen was a great speciallist for this king of transition. I admit that this new album is different from the others but uprising and resistance shox us that Muse is still able to compose great songs which can recall Showbiz ones or others: they wants to explore new domains and I think that they have succeeded in it!
but in a interview matt said he dosent like to pick up guitar that were played by prevouse bands like gibson he felt the ghost of those band were haunting him for it which is why he only play manson
more spectacularly epic than the lengendary queen.and dont get me wrong, muse and queen are lightyears apart from each other.i would'nt dare try and compare.i mean, just look at queen pre mercury and then muse.muse are starting to close the gap
dont worry, everybody thinks in a different way and i think you are probably right but these days people dont want to open their eyes and recognise new music!!! bands such as muse! that is music for everybody. people are kind of stuck in the past... but i understand that its like replacing someone you love and that wont be easy , right?
i wish muse could be heard by everyone in the world , its such a nice music
Who gives a fuck if it sounds like Queen. This isn't the first time we have heard Queen influence from them. It's still Muse and it has the Muse sound and that's all that matters. They have way too much talent to just "rip off a band" like everyone is saying. It's a great song and the album is gonna be awesome :) Muse will always stay one of my favorites :)
But its far from bad, Mat Belamy's piano is flawless as per usual, the vocals soaring, and most importantly, even if it heavily aknowledges the influence of Queen, the lyrics are nothing like Freddie Mercury (RIP music's potentially greatest front-man) or May would wirte.
Sounds good, just hope the new album have some more guitar-orientated songs too.
...have you not heard muse. listen to knights of cydonia and u'll see that muse are loads like queen, they both include insane amounts of harmony, and the backing vocals are fairly opera like. they both also have amazing vocalists, its not a bad thing its simply a variance on another amazing band
queen is a great influence for every artist........this song is Queenish and that is the special about it......also Chopin at the end of the song.......
Nice to nice that muse fans are so loyal, one hint of an outside influence and ur all saying its shit. Their just experimenting, just go with it. There are some far out sounding songs on the album but there is also some classic sounding muse stuff as well. Keep the faith. MUSE RULE
The queen-sounding parts only take up about 25 seconds of the song. I don't especially like how they sound, but who cares. The rest of the song is good
I have to agree with killeraddiction. I want to listen to Muse, like from the album Absolution, not Queen. There's nothing wrong with Queen itself, I just would rather listen to Muse, Not Muse-Queen-involved.
Then I can just listen to queen if I wanted that. ;)

When we were recording Eurasia, Wolstenholme recalls, we were rolling around on the floor laughing. And we thought, We cant take that bit out, because then it wouldnt make us laugh any more.
I think this song may take place as my favourite Muse song, this album sounds fantastic, so many influences used, i think this could be a number 1 album. Matt, Chris and Dom are growing even bigger as a band and truly have the potential to be remembered decades to come
Why do people care that it sounds like queen? queen didnt patent layered vocal harmonies. And WHY do people say its not original?? all popular music is unoriginal, it been done thousands of times previous. To me muse use some unique ideas for a popular band. E.g not many bands experiment with classical peices, different scales/ ragas and unconvention song structures for popular music. Some people are so narrow minded they cant ajust to anything different, thats why pop music is regurgitated
Perhaps the Queeny approach is intentional, as if Queen represented Britain and the whole of popular culture as well. It is an allegory, as is the entire consept. And it is not meant to be easy for the listener. What do you reckon the Arabic parts stand for? And the movie Lawrence of Arabia? And Chopin? Aeroplanes, flying? Children crying? Might be that the are not just tossing in whatever happens to be up for grabs...
so you want them to come out with stuff on every album that is the exact same? i'm not sure where you don't hear Muse in this song. Classical bits, Matt's piano playing, vocal harmony. Muse is there buddy. 3 seconds of sounding like Queen and people shit their pants about it and think Muse has lost everything. I don't think that's quite possible to happen.
Have they admitted to bogarting the theme to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom? Not that I mind if they did, nothing wrong with a little tribute. This song is tha shitz.
People must see this album as a step of evolution. They can't hold on to the rebel like hard rock metal style from the old days. I mean come on, it's about 15 years ago.
They've grown up. So fast. Evolved so fast. Besides, they already made 4 kickass albums you like, give them the god damn slack to create something that will evolve their musical aspect and awesomeness, to create even more awesome albums in the future.
I don't understand why people are freaking out because this sounds like Queen. Many artists use other artists as an inspiration. For example, QUEEN looked to Elvis as an inspiration for the song "Crazy Little Thing Called Love". There's a big difference between copying and being influenced by another band.
I think it's fucking awesome they have sought inspiration in Queen, because Queen was totally fucking awesome. The fact that Muse can adapt for Queens style is just terrific.
Have anyone heard another band with an obvious source of inspiration from the legendary Queen?
Totally fine by me, I'm so looking forward to this album!
c'est vrai que cette chanson rappelle quelque peu Queen....ma foi, la musique est la voix de M bellamy reste sublime....comme toujours....en bref : vive Muse !!! et vivement l'album qui promet d'être vraiment top
This is the only song that probably sound like Queen (for anyone except me anyway). Don't get discouraged by it. Matt's just experimenting and playing around. He even said he laughs every time he listens to this song. The new album is going to be amazing since it's Muse's very first self-production. :)
They are trying to go in a more classical direction not because they are intentionally trying to sound like muse but because that's just a direction they wanted to expirement with, and not that my opininion counts for much, but I fucking love the "queenish muse." Muse is godlike.
Fantastic, yet another tribute surely to bellamy, with the way in which he integrates Chopin's work into his own song. Nothing wrong with such a masterful classical piece in a modern master's song. I reckon they compliment each other nicely
For the first time Matt's vocals sound really 'live', more so than on the other albums. I do miss the lyrical quality of OOS though, and it's a bit of a crazy cocktail of a lot of different things, but it's nice, pretty good, I'm not disappointed :)
It is a bit like Queen, but Freddie Mercury is no longer with us, this is moving it on into a new generation. It is almost a mix of new, older and ancient and it makes you appreciate all music.
With all these bands and artists copying each other it is SOOOO amazing to see him and the band creating music that is out of what the music industry feeds us these days and I love that the public respond by proclaiming them as the best band IN THE WORLD.
Plenty of MUSE wanabee's bands? of course but NEVER in that caliber of genius. TOTAL INSPIRATION TO ME

I don't understand why people are freaking out because this sounds like Queen. Many artists use other artists as an inspiration. For example, QUEEN looked to Elvis as an inspiration for the song "Crazy Little Thing Called Love". There's a big difference between copying and being influenced by another band.
I personally think this song is great :)

Ok for all the people, I just read an interview where Bellamy said this album is influenced by Queen, Iggy pop and some glam

If I want to hear queen I'll listen to queen. If I want to hear muse Maybe I should wait for the album after this one cause this is not muse.

This is the only song that probably sound like Queen (for anyone except me anyway). Don't get discouraged by it. Matt's just experimenting and playing around. He even said he laughs every time he listens to this song. The new album is going to be amazing since it's Muse's very first self-production. :)

I agree..."Queen" and "Freddie Mercury" were the first things that came to mind. But their other songs don't reflect that.

im not liking the queenish muse.
its not that i dont like queen but this doesnt sound like muse...

TheTkingston 2 years ago
This song is really good.
As for the Chopin thing, it's just a tribute.

Matt Bellamy IS the Mozart of our time.
