Thanks! A 30 x 40 inch moose is on the easel at the moment to be shipped out this month (with lots of other paintings). Sometimes it's overwhelming, but we love painting and the challenge to tackle something else, hopefully doing it even better the next time!
Not enough. :) Luckily I have at least a dozen paintings going at any one time. Most are far smaller than this one (which was 30 x 40 inches) and can be completed fairly quickly.
This painting was far from finished at this point. It was 30 in. x 40 in. with full body and background. You can see it in progress on my website. I use many layers of watercolor very thinly to achieve the right texture and depth. It is a long, painstaking process. This 1 minute video is just a small window into the development of the work, sometimes taking as long as 2 years to complete one this size. I hope you enjoyed it anyway. :)
I really thought you were painting a real snowlepards face, I was going to get ya done for animal cruelty he he , but no... that is actually a painting, shocked and stunned, absolutley amazing!!
If I'm correct you used some wet-on-wet technique for some of the fur to create the effect. And you added little water for the fine details. I'm only guessing of course (kind of). This is excellent.
Damm this is just so beautiful. i cant believe this is even posible :)

there was no paint on that brush
Alphawolf384 2 years ago
Actually at this stage there is very little paint on the brush. Final details are very subtle but important.

And very time consuming!

Is this really watercolor?
If so, it is unbelievable the precision you have acheived using this extremely hard to control medium.
