  • Its really difficult to find a hockey film where the action is close to full speed, not slow ballet, and where the goal tender actually tends goal/challenges the shooter. Entertaining movie nonetheless...

  • lol so corny

  • greets from turkey, i love this oldschool movie;)=

  • bar down

  • LOVE THIS SONG!!! Do you know the name? Is it by William Orbit?

  • The good old Wood Sticks!THE BEST

  • i love rob lowe !

  • All Canadians are laughing at this scene for so many different reasons...at least the guys are!

  • That goaltender is terrible. Butterfly had been invented by 1986.

  • @GooseMobius118 also, he was just standing there, he didn't come out to challenge the shooter

  • @GooseMobius118 actually patrick roy was the first and he was a rookie in 1986 ;)

  • @slklmk No he wasn't. Glenn Hall was and he probably didn't even think it up. It was probably some strategist or coach. Roy just perfected it and helped shape equipment for future butterfly-style goalies as well as add technical training.

  • rob lowe is beautiful.

  • <--- Check our our hockey video now!

  • the writer is a vegan and the best hockey players are vegans!!! not murdering meat eaters!

  • @normalguyable Shut the fuck up you blowhard. Humans are carnivorous mammals. If you're butthurt about people eating meat, go fuck off and cry to your mom about it.

Your statement is equivalent to saying "the best lions are vegans! Not murdering meat-eaters! All lions should be vegans!" It's fucking retarded. Just like you.

  • the director was a strict vegan i wish we all were

  • The other team's uniform very closely resembles that of the Boston Bruins -- black and gold with B on front. Cool!

  • What was the name of the hockey movie from the late 80' or early 90's where the minor leage player bangs the coaches daughter and gets benched and fights his own teammate, he eventualy scores the game winning goal in the final game.

  • Best hockey movie ever

  • weak celly.

  • Epickie w huj! Też nie kumam akcji po co Youngblood czekał z radością aż krążek spadnie za linią. Przecież gol jest już w momencie przekroczenia linii bramkowej całym obwodem krążka... Oglądałem ten film z milion razy i zawsze z chęcią oglądał go po raz kolejny ... :)

  • @phille22 because if it would have rolled across the line itt wouldnt have been a goal...duhh

  • because the puck could have rolled across the line

  • I never got why he was waiting for the puck to stop when it was a goal right when he roofed it

  • Lowe

  • RIP to you Peter Zezel .. others in the film with NHL experience are Eric Nesterenko and Steve Thomas

  • Always wanted that goalie mask! Haha..

  • @rocketmn000 = Ten dollars says it's inspired by Gilles Gilbert

  • Rob Lowe is hot!!!

  • MY LAST NAME IS YOUNGBLOOD

  • Anybody notice and heard on 1:44 after Rob Lowe scored, He raised his arms and screamed like a girl!!! LMAO!!!!! That was freakin funny. They should of changed the sound effect on that scene cause he really sounded like a girl screaming. LOL!!

  • the best hockey film of all time is SLAPSHOT every hockey player alive has seen it

  • Ok... I am obssessed with Rob Lowe! I first saw the movie the outsiders and thats when I cracked! My friends make fun of me but I don't care he is fine! This is the best hockey movie I've ever seen!!!

  • sweet goal,

  • Easiy the greatest hockey movie of all time

  • dude that nutsack who said this was just as bad as the mighty ducks is a fuckin loser this hockey movie is so close to how jr's really is its fuckin thirty years ahead of its time.

  • haha, is rob lowe missing a tooth?

    daggum, he's so hott (:

  • Look at hiz fancy foot work. ;)

  • Until The Mighty Ducks, this was the worst hockey movie of all time.

  • rob lowe is a....... SEXY BEAST!!!!!! outsiders, he was HOT!

  • Greatest part of this movie for me was Miss McGill. I wanted to be a hockey player in her town so badly I almost cried. Damn, I still want to nail her today!

  • @CucciCadet , dude..she is like 75 yrs old now.Check IMDB.COM!!!

  • @CucciCadet - I think we ALL want "tea with Miss McGill"

  • cool ass goalie mask, one of the best

  • @CucciCadet That's a Replica of Gary Bromley's Mask from 1979, probably one of my all-time favorite masks.

  • @0:03 ouch.....

  • puck has to completely cross the red line for it to count as a goal....

  • GOLD CANADA GOLD!!!!!

  • OMG, I knew I had seen Pavel's penalty shot move before!

  • i watched this a few days back... patrick swayze was damn good looking! keanu reeves was in it too right and he was really like an idiot!

  • This movie was so stupid that it was hilarious!

  • RIP Swayze. :( I love him in The Outsiders.

    Go Rob Lowe!

  • Red Wings vs. Bruins, I mean Mustangs-Bombers

  • Name of the song any1? i know its william orbit but idk wut the names is. thanks

  • RIP Patrick.......best movie ever. You will be missed.

  • I never understood the moment of suspense while the puck was bouncing on the ice; it was a goal the moment he shelved it.

  • Hahaha so true!

  • I agree broskies. And the director of the movie was a hockey player. He should have known. But there are many flaws in this movie if you are a hockey player. You can tell. Maybe they could remake it with one of the guys from Miracle playing Deaner. Like the kid who played O'Callahan. Just an idea.

  • the canadian way is a penalty shot or a shootout if the puck crosses the goal line after being shot in then its no good

  • Just curious, is it still that way or has it changed?

  • im not shure if it is still that way

  • @KrankesDasein yes :-) me too:D

  • @KrankesDasein Not true. The suspense is this: Will the puck hit the bar and roll out? Will the shot count as a goal? When it finally crossed the line it counts as a goal. if a millimeter of that puck was touching the line the goal doesn't count. The whole puck must cross the line to count as a goal. Just cause it's top shelf didn't mean that something couldn't happen.

  • @turfwerks1 Except the puck never hit the crossbar. It went past the crossbar, and into the net. And when the puck hits the ice the first time, it's clearly over the goal line.

  • @KrankesDasein I just watched this for the first time. I thought the exact same thing when I was watching it. Like for some reason it wouldn't have counted if it rolled back over the line. it killed the suspense

  • @KrankesDasein yeah... :/

  • @KrankesDasein its like in mighty ducks 2, everyone waited for julie to put the puck down, well, it obviously wasnt in the net!

  • @KrankesDasein

First thing anyone that knows anything about hockey would think. Hollywood probably does not fit that.

  • That skull goalie mask is fucking sick, I want it!!

  • GO WINGS!!

  • Let's goooooooo Johnny taveres and Isles hockey Isles pride forever!!!!!!!!!!

  • Bitter Carl Racki lolol

  • R.I.P. Peter Zezel

  • @JoeLegero Was he in this?

  • I wonder if Simmons noticed that Lowe is playing for a Team wearing Red and White while his opponents are Black and Yellow and have a "B" on their Jerseys.

    Good call Simmons...retard.

  • Sent by Simmons.

Got ya Boston. Have a nice week.

  • Glad to see this panned out.

  • NOT SIMMONS. I just randomly search old Rob Lowe hockey videos on youtube on Thursday nights.

  • Sent by Simmons. B's are garbage.

    GO WINGS!!!

  • simmons and LOOCH!

  • Simmons

  • SIMMONS!!!

  • Simmons

  • guy in the stand blew his load with his beer.

  • Simmons

  • Simmons

  • Simmons!!

  • Simmons

  • Simmons

  • simmons!

  • Simmons!

  • Youngblood = Rob Shremp, hot shot American who can score at the Jr. level but never make the bigs!!

  • So basically, he's a young Gordon Bombay?

  • great film!

  • I'm from in Thunder Bay of the Bombers. This is awesome.

  • I personally loved this movie. But I don't know really anything about hockey and I just watched it from Patrick Swayze and Rob Lowe. =)

  • still dont understand why he waits for the puck to land b4 he starts to celebrate. as soon as it hits the roof of the net, its a goal!

  • It has to make it past the red line to be a goal and he wanted to see if it made it and counted and it just barely did.

  • Yeah man, he went Shelf on this duster of a goalie with a straight stick, as soon as that puck hit the twine he should have been celebrating. It it hits the inside of the net its a goal. They probably tried to make it seem like it hit the bar and then bounced in, even if it came back out past the line its still a snipe.

  • lmfao....dumbass.

  • though some scenes are exaggerated to give it a dramatic effect( puck crossing the line, the fights and stickfights etc) the movie is accurate in how it portrays the life of young hockey players who play on canadian junior teams and what goes on during that time( the bus trips, the boarding houses, the hazing, trying to make the pro's). Yes I agree some things are exaggerated for effect, but from a hockey player perspective this movie is the most accurate out of all of them.

  • NHL'ers in this movie....Steve Thomas and Peter Zezel

  • I started playing hockey as a kid because of this movie.

  • you forgot Eric Nesterenko

    Eric Nesterenko

    Steve Thomas

    Peter Zezel

  • All I have to say is: WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

  • How accurate can it be. at the begining of the movie he's playing pond hockey as a kid he shoots left then next scene as an 18 year old he shoots right.

  • @reggie0717 so a continuity error suddenly makes a movie inaccurate? all movies have those errors.

  • @reggie0717 Gordie Howe was pretty much ambidextrious too

  • Anyone that thinks this was great hockey movie is full of shit. someone wrote that it was accurate come on! it was an ok movie. The first slapshot is the best.

  • I agree with you 100%. Youngblood is not Accurate and its not a great hockey movie. But........ hockey movies never get the hockey right. I'm just saying as far as hockey movies go it one of the better ones. It's also pretty damn funny.

  • yo i remember watching this pretty good hockey movie back when i was little kid....i have no clue what the name was....but i remember it was about a junior team...and these two dudes were competing for a contract with the st. louis blue...i think one guys's last name was heather and the other was dyson....does that shit sound familiar to anyone...i can't find the name of the movie anywhere

  • The movie you're looking for is called "Rookies". I think it was a made for TV movie or something cause I can't find it anywhere. It used to air on Cable back in the early 90's. Dyson was played by Yannick Bisson. Some Canadian actor who was also in "Hockey Night".

  • Ok, lets face facts here. This movie from a hockey standpoint is the best. Period.

Other GOOD hockey movies are: Miracle and Slapshot.

OK hockey movies are: Mystery Alaska, Hockey Night (80's), and Rookies (early 90's) .

Slapshot 2 and ALL of the MIGHTY DUCK movies are excrement! Complete crap!

If you have ever played hockey in your life you will agree.

  • i agree bro....youngblood is hands down the best hockey movie in terms of entertainment and accuracy....mighty ducks is lame as hell..some weird black kid can shoot a knuckle puck so he gets on the olympics team...fuck outta here...and yeah slapshot2 was one of the worst movies ever...

  • In a hockey perspective this movie sucks. I like this movie and I think its awesome but when it comes to all the hockey scenes they were not very accurate. I mean the fact that he had to wait for the puck to fall behind the goal line to make sure it was a goal is stupid because it already hit the inside of the netting, and the fight scene was ridiculous

  • yeah this movie is terrible long life at hockey!!!

  • and his sexy hot brother actor Jim Youngs, actor John Savage's little bro, gosh that family has great genes!!! Wish I knew what happened to him??

  • this movie has the best sex scene.

  • can you tell me whats this movie is about? because i tried to see the movie in youtube but i have to be 18+, please? because i think i seen this movie when i was like 6 0r 7

  • thanx 4 the reply, but dose this movie have any bad stuff in it? since the parts of the movie are blocked

  • just swearing and a sex scene with a lil nudity...any kid over 10 wouldnt mind

  • Rob is the man, what a great hockey movie, counting Mighty Ducks, slap shots, miracle, and MVP, there are only about a dozen hockey movies, Mystery Alaska too.

  • racki rules

  • One of the CLASSICS right here!!!

Miss McGill is HOT, Sutton n Hewitt are krazy as fuck, Kelly Youngblood should have came back to the league, Chadwick should stick to coaching and not singing (San Francisco Bay)lol, And the Bombers' goalie mask is PRICELESS (they don't make masks like these anymore)!!!

  • The mask was based off former Vancouver Goalie Gary Bromley which was made by well known mask maker Greg Harrison.

  • Hannah, was the worst hockey official in this movie. Currently he only works Penguin games, cause Crosby, and Malkin get away with "everything", and are the biggest babies in the sport today. Awesome players should have class, and toughness, not crybaby, cheapshot artists.

  • The problem with Rob Lowe is thay he was always acting the same caracther: the beautiful guy that was a total winner (this movie is an example), i think that`s the reason why he is not as popular as Brad Pitt (and Rob Lowe was more beautiful than Pitt)

  • Was? Or is? I'm sorry, but I'm only 14 and I still find Rob Lowe attractive, even at his age, like not a major hottie like in the 80's, hey, he's maintained himself really well, lol

  • yeah he cute and im only 14

  • can you tell me whats this movie is about? because i tried to see the movie in youtube but i have to be 18+, please? because i think i seen this movie when i was like 6 0r 7

  • its about a hockey played named Dean Youngblood, who dominates in his league, so he starts to play for a junior team in Canada, but its alot rougher, and he becomes really good friends with the captain who is takin out by a goon. The goon got cut from the team Youngblood plays on, Youngblood made it and the goon didnt. By the end of the movie he ends up becoming a man and going toe-to-toe with the goon and winning the fight, as the captain is out with at least a concussion.

  • lucky boy

  • lol bud if the puck went in the net and comes out still is a goal the only way it can hit the net and come out and not be a goal is if it hit the bars! u dumb fools

  • it was ylämummo!!

  • OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH

HOW CAN A GROWN MAN DO THAT????

and i;m talking bout the goalie doing the spilt and the beginning of this clip.

  • Athleticism.

  • more like no balls

  • u are so stupid being able to do the splits has nothing to do with your balls

  • you dont hav any apparently.

  • good one

  • The suspense is over at 1:35, not 1:42, like the writers and directors want you to believe. The puck hit the back of the net, after that, it doesn't matter where the puck lands. But still, it's a fun movie to watch.

  • GO SODA WOOOH!

  • hehe, i knew i picking # 10 for my jersey was a good choice

  • I love this movie it was so good i havent seen it in soo long though

  • what a great movie
