  • turks r u seriously u guys talking about iraq thats bullshit u racist turks tortured and killed 600.000 armenian,30.000 kurds and force many christians to leave their land to somewhere europe...but u know what racisist ottoman baby,,,, we r still human we dont wanna torture any turk or the others

  • @hamayuba I believe he is speaking as an American. But I guess he can't do that either because we killed many of our own citizens in the civil war.........just sayin....

  • We do?

No, you do. The Abu Ghraib incident was illegal according to the UCMJ. The postmodern, self-loathing media spun to so it appeared at though it was standard procedure.

There's also the completely false story, the non-story, about flushing a koran down the toilet. Innocents were captured and beheaded because of a FALSE story. That's the media's fault. That's YOUR fault. Not America's, yours.

BTW - No peaceful individual would kill over cartoons, no one. Religion of peace my ass.

  • This country is full of pussies. I live in the USA and we don't want to torture. thats bullshit. On the battlefield there are no rules. The rules of engagement mean nothing. The only rule is to not die. People don't realize that. No one understands the decisions a soldier has to make. The fucking liberals defend terrorists but not the very men and women who defend them. What is wrong with America. Tortute is necessary to save American lives. Terrorists have no problem torturing you.

  • This is a leftist channel. You're trying to convince a bunch of pussies they're cock strong. Not gonna happen.

  • I know, but I made a remark some people are calling me on it. And I'm stating my case logically but I swear I feel like Luke Wilson in Idiocracy. But I won't run from these arguments or they win. They know Im right they're just attacking me because of that, the traditional liberal way.

  • You should read "The Road to Serfdom" by austrian economist F.A. Hayek and "Liberal Fascism" by Jonah Goldberg. They will give you a better understanding of how liberals transformed into two-year-olds who engage in tantrum politics. The former is much better than the latter but they're both worth it. If you like either, PM me and I'll recommend another dozen good books to read.

  • Thank you I was gonna get the facism book but I'll check that other book too.

  • If you think torture is an appropriate way to get important information then I will meet you half way. Let's start by torturing Jeb Bush and Katherine Harris about the 2000 election and BushCo to uncover how much of the lead up to invading Iraq was contorted or fabricated.

  • I think people fail to comprehend that if your to

  • I knew this in 2003. Does that mean I'm a genius? No. It means I actually looked into the intell and didn't buy the whole "look at this ice cream truck, it's in fact a very sofisticated high technological WMD... but it's also a transformer, so it looks like an ice cream truck" or the "Hey this guys told us there's a link between Iraq and Uranium smuggling out of Nigeria when we paid him a million dollars... that must be true".

  • It isn't even 1% of Muslims dude. That's like saying 1% of the white population is a part of the KKK. See how it makes no sense?

  • it amazes me that he has to explain that

  • the ticking time bomb scenario is not only improbable, its irrelevant. in the theoretical scenario where you know FOR SURE it would save lives, you wouldnt need a law telling you it was ok, you could do the torture, save thousands of lives and be a hero. no one would ever prosecute you for that and you dont need laws to account for that. but in reality you can never trust information gained by torture unless you know the answer in advance, as in "irag and al-quaeda are connected"

  • "The barbarous custom of having men beaten who are suspected of having important secrets to reveal must be abolished. It has always been recognized that this way of interrogating men, by putting them to torture, produces nothing worthwhile."

    -Napoleon Bonaparte

  • HES A AVRIL LAVIGNE HATER!!!!!

    (thats jus his opinion!

  • Excellent points and Well argued. I agree that the ticking-time bomb scenario is ridiculous and 1 in a million, but you've got to cover *all* your bases. What do you suggest for when it does finally happen? People will probably hate me for sounding Star Trek-like, but do the innocent lives of the many not *always* outweigh the guilty lives of the few?

  • No, they don't. If you got the argument you will have figured out that before you get or don't get to the point where you might or might not have saved one innocent live by torture and chance, you will - for certain! - have already have killed innocent lives by the scores. No can you outweigh innocent lives with other innocent lives? No, you can't! It will only put blood on your hands.

  • Um, I'm not sure what you're trying to say. All that I'm saying is rather simple: Is it not sometimes justifiable to harshly interrogate a person or a few people if they are known to have knowledge of, say, a bomb that is sure to kill many innocent lives when it goes off, so that the bomb can be found and defused before it explodes?

  • @ Hervorragend604: That scenario happens to be speculative and theoretical. One problem is that you don't know beforehand whom to torture. The next problem is, torture creates enemies and thus more bombs. And again, you WILL, for a damned FACT, kill and maim innocents and do so more cruelly and heineosly than any bomb ever could.

  • The scenario *is* speculative & theoretical, true. But it's also still possible & even plausible. You may not know whom to torture; then again you may; that just depends on the particular circumstances. Torture *does* create more enemies, true. That's why it could only be used in very specific situations & would have to be regulated & controlled as much as possible. I'm still not sure why you insist innocents will suffer if a terrorist is tortured. By definition, a terrorist is not an innocent.

  • 5stars

  • fabulous vid!

would like some citations in the description box. on what to look at that backs you up...besides what i have already seen...please dont just direct me to your website.

  • Brilliant. I totally agree!

  • Excellent points Cenk, as always!

  • Torture 1 person, create 100 enemies. Also, torture destroy the mind of the victim and torturer and the torturer's countries' souls.
