  • Okay, thank you for your help!

  • Thanks for the reply! I looked at the TM2, but I'm not really interested in it. I'm a student so I just need something that can handle basic tasks, and basic sketches.

  • @TheOfficialJasmineC yeah if you reinstall a clean version of windows and download and use their penwrite driver this should be decent . To be honest the only reason I went to a TM2 is cuz the t101 got into a horrible accident :(((

  • How were you actually able to draw with Sketchbook pro? I've read that most can't? Please advise me on this, because I'm interested in buying a t101mt.

  • @TheOfficialJasmineC well, it's not the easiest or best device to sketch on- there's a few things you have to note about the video: this is not the Windows that the t101 comes with, the second i bought it i installed my own copy of Win7 on it. after, I installed Asus's Penwrite driver so that there's some (albiet little) pressure sensitivity and palm-ignoring feature. it's not bad but bang for buck i'd suggest that you go with something more like an HP TM2 (which is what i have now)

  • i can´t see pressure sensitivity.

tell me more about pen pressure please.

  • please use ur ellipse tool for the wheels and wheel arches. and a bonnet isn't an extension of a windshield. break up the surface

  • @bramwul i'll check out the ellipse tool, haven't used it yet. btw, im not engineering a car- i'm just brainstorming only to show an example of the stylus usage. there's plenty of car designers who don't use any extra tools other than a pencil during phase one. also, why CAN'T the bonnet be an extension of the windshield? who says the engine of my car is in the front? does a bullet have a separation in it's shape near the front? car aero today still isn't what it could be so don't limit it.

  • How do you enable pressure sensor? I tried with sketchbook pro, artrage and corel painter but it doesn't seems to work! please help! :)

  • @kaneda71 The pressure sensitivity on the Asus doesn't perform that well but are you saying that you're experiencing no pressure sensitivity at all? If so, then try installing Penwrite from the Asus website. You have to download the whole package but only install Penwrite

  • hello, thanks for sharing your video, I have the tablet PC ASUS EEE like you, but I dont know why skectchbook 2010 doesnt work very well on it, when I use a pencil , I get 3 secondes response time, and It is almost impossible to draw with it, do you know why ? thanks to you PS: i also installed Photoshop CS3 on it and the responce time is better...

  • horrible sketch

  • @sunguckim lol true- i was doing it primarily to show the capability of the Asus (you can't put your palm on the screen). But hey, at least it's an original car design- something Koreans know nothing about.

  • @cforcalvin LOL yea korean cars suck ass

  • @cforcalvin

Look my demo , I'm not a Korean you told. And sorry about my rude.

  • @sunguckim

he just failed in racism :)))

  • @cforcalvin I've seen in other videos that you can go into "pen mode", which causes the touchscreen to ignore your palm. I'm going to get one of those. :)

  • @cforcalvin what! i rest my palm on mine with no problems at all!

  • Hey I was wondering about getting this, for note taking and maybe some drawing too. I noticed that it seemed kind the line have a kind of delay. Is that the programs fault or does that happen to every program? Also do you know if it is pressure sensitive with that pen or other wacom tablet pens? I hope you reply to this =X

  • @Simbamania Hi, the slight delay is most likely the touchscreen technology's fault. Most pressure sensitive touchscreens on tablet pc's have some kind of small delay. If you plug in a wacom tablet, it's perfectly smooth because it's now relying on the wacom's hardware. the lag doesn't kill the sketching or handwriting experience, you just have to get used to it (for handwriting you should write bigger letters and longer strokes for example)

  • @Simbamania the accuracy of a pressure sensitive touchscreen will never be as good as a wacom since the calibration is based more on perception rather than actual placement. so doing precise work like photoshop or inking- those are better done with a mouse. but doing everyday things like moving files and windows with your finger or handwriting notes is pretty awesome. of course to see for yourself you really have to play with one first- see if there's a store that carries these

  • @Simbamania the pressure sensitivity comes with the screen- the stylus it comes with is just a pointy thing, you can basically use anything you want. the screen's technology does measure pressure so in programs like Sketchbook if you draw harder, it will be darker- the effect is noticeable but of course once again it will never be as apparent as a wacom since the wacom technology is more advanced. but with the wacom it's not as portable- so with the t101 you sacrifice accuracy for portability

  • @Simbamania i will soon release another video to be more specific about how to get used to the T101 and make it a practical experience

  • @cforcalvin cool thanks, not sure if you know but for HP tm2 tablet pc is wacom pen enabled so the pen actually does make a different =P, but it is what like 800 or 900 bucks + tax... sigh for expensive technology
