Leda looked great!!! You both are going to be awesome. I do feel you have been in CA to long you ran like a girl from Baywatch!!! Just kidding. Maybe you need some yellow cleats. Ok all joking aside you have done a really really great job. I can't wait to see more videos.
Awww Tara, I just love watching her run! She reminds me a lot of Boost...she's trying SO hard to be right and yet still do it all at warp speed. She is looking fabulous!!
HI Stephanie! Thanks for watching Leda's video. haha, sorry to hear Desi diod a scary AF to you as well. These young dogs forget that they are mortal sometimes!
Thank you! I will look forward to checking out your videos, I've never seen UK courses before. : ) I used the 2X2 method for Leda's weaves, she is VERY solid on her entries. It was easy too, she was weaving 12 poles in just 7 days.
Thanks! Now we taking off from trialling until mid-January. I want to feel confident enough in her contacts to leave her on them and get outta town next time! : ) We are going to train, train, train!!!!
Leda is completely fine, she landed in the thick dirt and was raring to go on, she wasn't even sore. She is a typical young, fast dog... she learns from these mistakes and was perfect on every frame thereafter.
Thanks! Now I'm taking off more than a month to gain more confidence in her contacts. I REALLY want to trust that I can leave her on them... it's so hard to get there mentally!!! I know she can do it!!! Time to train!
@AgilityMalamute Hey Tara, JWW is always challenging, so it's very common to get standard legs first on the very fast dogs. And combine that with Novice having so much spacing between obstacles and you have an even greater challenge. It will get better once you get out of Novice.
Thank you!!! Now we are taking off more than a month to work contacts! I need to feel like I can trust Le enough to leave her on them an move on to the next obstacle or we'll be in trouble later, haha!
Yeah, that AF gave ME a heart attack, but Leda is a tough dog... she wasn't even sore! Ahhh!!!! The trial was in Rancho Murieta (?) California ... I can't remember the name of the building, I just moved to CA. : )
Leda looks great! Very spunky and fast! Contacts looked awesome, except for the one "omg aframe" Not sure she touched the down plank! But the rest were perfect! Can't wait to see more!
Simply "wow"! Leda is a little speedster and her weaves are just amazing to watch. I love how she is so intent on you during the run - what a wonderful bond.
Wow!!!! I can't believe this is only Leda's 2nd AKC trial... she is AMAZING. I was speechless after her weave poles in the open standard run, she is crazzyy fast!
Holy. Cow. Tara... that dog is seriously THE FASTEST thing I have EVER SEEN. 'Scuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHH GO LEDALEE!!!!!!!!! She is dynamite, Tara! Keep up the great work!!!!! GREAT JOB! AH! I am so so so so so so so pumped to see where the next couple months take you... Soon Ledalee will be DOMINATING the agility world :)
hee hee... Leda is just trying to keep up with Bltizie! ;-) he is setting a super example for her! I need to handle more like you and stay out of her way, I cause so many bars, haha! Thank you for your super sweet comment!
Tara, she looks great! She had one little oops on the aframe where she went airborne, but the rest of the contacts looked great. I am so happy for you - and Leda is having a blast out there with her best friend. What a wonderful team you too are...and the best thing is that it will only get better.
Thanks Nancy. : ) Yeah, that one AF scared us BOTH! Uggg!!!! She was VERY careful after that!!!!! I am trying to find someone with a rubberized DW I can practice on... she is ALWAYS soooo much slower on rubber! I would have thought she would be faster. We did have a great time playing agility, now we take off til mid-January to TRAIN TRAIN TRAIN!! : ) We still need 2 Nov JWW legs... ahhhh!.
@AgilityMalamute Hey Tara, Schema also had issues on being a bit more careful and slower when she first did the rubberized contacts. But with more and more experience, she runs them pretty much the same now. The reason why they are slower is that it just feels different to them. Eventually, she'll run on them just as fast.
Nice dog, you have done a great job with her!
