Well i watched Virgil Donati and thought he was good but not a patch on Buddy and he didnt even have a tupee to contend with while he was playing his solo.
anyone who has watched the Buddy rich scholorship tribute show will surely realise whether young or old that there was only 1 buddy rich and no one comes a close second he will always be one of a kind
Some people have said that Buddy '' slowed '' down and was not as good in his later years. If this and other examples show him slowing and not as good i wish i was half as slow and good as he was. I think in his later years he was actually more effeciant and didn't use as exaggerated arm movements as before, certainly not slowing down.
