  • This is the version I prefer. Acoustics were getting more advanced everyday.

  • Back in the day i was too young to understand this but oh how times have changed

  • For those who do not know this song is on norman connors album. It was presented on the radio at the time as norman connors! My best friends father was a radio DJ at the time and I remember this being listed in the billboard trade magazine as Norman Connors. Michael Henderson had a album at the time which included Wide Reciver and this song was not on that album at the time!

  • much LOVE to MICHAEL HENDERSON...give him his props..."while HE CAN hear them"

  • If only, in 2012, an artist came that could do this type of music and be respectful and versatile and CROSS OVER all over the industry and become Internationally Huge.....

  • Rick james' version sounds better

  • Where's Michael today ('12)? He was incredible, and I hope he's still performing and composing great music. His music transcends a "''70's sound" to me as this is crossover jazz/R&B... or undefineable and great.

  • In addition to the superb voice the photo montage is nice.

  • Too add to that list Mr. Dibia$e also used it. Very dope joint. I'm glad I came across this cat today. I've always made a mistake of juding books by their cover, or in this case - albums by their cover. Never heard of this cat till today and I'm damn glad I came across it.

  • i used to wait for this song on the radio. I was the vanilla kid growing up in chocolate city. he has the same last name. thank goodness!

  • This song is great...Just bring back old memories of love...I love this song so much!

  • I share his last name but without his color. We are brothers though, I share his soulfulness. Awaiting on my Starship.

  • The Infamous Mobb Deep Sampled this song. The Song is Called "Trife Life" check it out.

  • ooooooooooooooooooooooooo i been looking for this version 4 like over a year!!!

  • So glad I found this on here. This was one of my FAVORITE songs that I would love hearing on the Quiet Storm on Sunday nights b4 I went to bed growing up. Just soothing grown folk REAL music!

  • Now THIS is some old skool grown & sexy ish!!!

  • Hey kids out there just imagine growing up to this kind of music, riding around with your girlfriend/boyfriend listening to this playing and somehow avoiding teen pregnancy. Well we did it, so you all have no excuse.

  • one of the best song ever !!! no doubt

  • Classic man..my parents brought me up on this music. What a beautiful song. They don't make love songs like this anymore. Trey songz = boooo.

  • I think Norman Connors is listed as the artist the same way Quincy Jones always is. no matter who is singing on Quincys project it's always by Quincy Jones.

  • Great song bro...would love to have this during my quiet storm for my radio show

    @DamoEnt

  • Love it!

  • HeY Michael..to me a Classic ,..1 of the heart felt songs ..growing up in the Motor City..this Smooth song is perfect for the times..All the Best...

  • Why in the hell is the song always listed by "Norman Connors"???

  • @ELSuperbeasto64 I bought a CD in the mid 90's that contained this song and Norman Connors was listed as the artist. I have the same question, if Henderson produced and sang the song, why is Connors listed? Did Connors write the song or something? Whatever the case, I feel very honored and grateful to have discovered Mr. Henderson's music. This guy is so phenomenal that I wonder why it is that I have never heard his name before.

  • Wonderful music and song, I really liked, thank you very much !!!!!!!!

  • Very beautiful and remarkably done!Great Job Michael.

  • This song just rocked my world! Raven
