  • @bigcitymusic my M-Audio Uno USB-to-MIDI will work to transmit MIDI data, won't it? btw it would be so ironic if there was a midi issue with a Dave Smith Instrument lol

  • great demo - thanks. funny thing is, the unit sounds infinitely better than this video, because the pristine sweet analog tone has been digitized and downgraded by youtube. hear one in person and you'll be inspired.

  • it sounds just like any 1990´s synth to me and monophonic... like the monotron (monotron sounds better and its cheaper... me thinkssss)

geee, I am looking for an analog synth and all I listen to on youtube sounds like modern plastic crap....

I need help - can spend only less than 600 euro.

  • How many programs / parts can this play at once? Just 1, or can you layer several? Thanks.

  • please help me on this one

what device is the midi IN coming from?

wanna buy the same in combination with a roland usb audio interface, but am not quite sure what connections ill have tomake..

    help me out here!

I want to get a usb audio interface which i can lead the mopho thru as well as attach mic and an extra FXbox to.. and all should be able to be linked with ableton LIVE 8

so what should i look out for. what kind of connections should the usb interface have?

    anybody?

  • @Keetjeboersma You can send midi through most external audio interfaces. I use the M-AUDIO fast track pro MIDI Out and a MIDI cable to connect LIVE to external synths.

  • I was wondering, since the Mopho Module doesn't have a USB conection like the Mopho Keyboard, how can I update its OS in case there is one ? Also can I store edited sounds on the module or do I neceseraly need to save them on the Editor on my Computer ?

  • Can you edit the sequences that the puch it button does?

  • Juicy

  • is that 100% analog ?

  • @Cutrexxx Yes, the audio signal path is.

  • Oh fuck i love the sounds..

  • finally, poverty stricken musicians like me can rejoice :D

  • extra j'aime ca *****

  • Please check out the new Tetra!!

    Look promising!

  • i checked tetra...its kick ass...it has a poly expander output to chain other synths plus it has 4 part-multitimbral operation (prophet 08 is only 2 part)...and tetra is the first DSI product to have USB Wowza!

  • whatst his like compared to a SH-101 anyone know ? i dunno weather to buy this i save more and get another 101

  • What about getting Sh-201 and Mopho? I have sh-201 and i'm thinking of gething mopho or tetra.

  • Oh yeah forgot one thing, can we assign those 4 knobs on board without using computer?

  • @whisperingvenus Yea you can do everything without a computer. Can get pretty annoying though.

  • I didn't know that this thing can do a serious dirty bass sound until i hear it at 0:38 .. but the computer use for editing just something left to be desired for me, cos i'm a caveman, don't know much about softsynths and stuffs. But i love this yellow box sounds so help me god.

  • push the button push the button puh the button

  • i heard this little thing sounded great but i didn't know it could do so much :O

  • so sick. i want one.

    HELP ME!!

i just got a kimball temptation analog electric organ and i want to make it sound nasty and install filters and effects!!!

    anyone know what they're doing?

  • yeah, jam it up your arse.

  • lol

  • you guys are chodes

  • Dave smith is a genius!

  • When it comes to designing and building great, yet affordable analog synths, he truly is!

  • 0:13 I gotta to buy this shit so bad !

  • So what does that red push it button do after all?

  • The red Push It button is a manual trigger. If you do not have a MIDI keyboard connected, you can use this button to play the sounds and sequences.

  • uhm im prety sure it wasnt

he was just influenced by himself to build a new product

    so he made the mopho!

  • back in the olden days the EMS synthi had an envelope trigger button which could be quite useful (steve hillage, hawkwind etc used it for those spacey bubbly swirls)

  • so is it just a controller you can assign to anything then? I use ableton, that would be very useful

  • and it certainly can compare to my nord micromodular. would actually be the perfect mate for it. :)

  • just ordered mine!! cant wait!!

  • mmm.....

  • ooh im tempted......! :-D
