  • and again.. nakamura castles "illegally"

  • so angry lol

  • who won?!?!?!?!

  • @George9173 nakamura

  • @George9173 yeah I reckon...

  • dang nakamura is good lol magnus was pissed off lol

  • @toucanrazor

You're just a lie spread by aliens

  • @shorbock I don't know the context but that is the best response I have ever seen

"You are a lie spread by aliens"

  • Fischer would have taken the camera out of the dudes hands and bashed him in the head with it the first time it started making those annoying noises.

  • @JuicersSuck Then he had some serious mental issues

  • IOOOOOOOOOSAAAAAAAAAAA! Hikaru :newfan:

  • I think it is crazy to play in a noisy public place like this. Early on I heard dogs in a barking competition. Bad for players AN0 fans, because real fans want to see games that are under good conditions and not being influenced by random noise. Imagine what Bobby would have said...

  • Double post. Second game is:

Crafty (Computer) vs Hikaru Nakamura ICC blitz 2007 · Van Geet Opening: General (A00) · 0-1

  • What were the time controls?

  • @SSgtParmer

you are not your chess program... if that is the case 4 year old kids with rybka are chess monsters as well... so stop bragging if you have the best opponent in the world... of course you can run away with statements like that when you get your ass kicked whenever you play with humans, and can't beg to take back your last move, even you cry blood.

  • @SSgtParmer your a fucking dumbass. get off youtube

  • Probably the 2 best blitz players in the World ... people are simply shopping and checking in..pretty much says it all about how chess has been so poorly marketed over the years. At least it's public ... that's a start.

  • @GibsonHummingbird because you can watch soccer or whatever if you dont know tactics and all coaching stuff and you cant watch chess when you dont understand the moves or where was a mistake or somethink its like watching 32 pawns move forward or somethink not very interesting for regular people especially watching it like 7 hours.

  • chill out Carlsen.

  • trolololoing for life.

  • Come on Carlsen..don't be an idiot..It's just a game

  • Hikaru is a bonafide ASSHOLE.

  • @ThePeoplesuk rofl

  • That was the old Carlsen. Now he's a spiky haired model.

  • lol look at Naka taking his time at 9:57 as if to say, "I win, and I have more time. Let me savor this victory."

  • @killingangel707 uhh he was calculating if you look at his hand movements...

  • @9:12 you can see nakamura using his finger to calculate, this was really intense

  • Good for Naka... I think Magnus reaching over and grabbing one of his pieces (at around 7:58 I believe) was kinda arrogant.

  • @0p14te Having the queen ready for queening is not arrogant in blitz. But it can be seen as arrogant of course. Check out: NZo8O-p9qy4 which shows nakamura can also play this game :)

  • Chess whiz, sure. But he's on the fast road to being a social misfit. He loses with all the grace of a two year-old.

  • someone hand the guy filming a better camera and teach him to use the zoom in button plz? :P

  • how does he castle

  • Pas mal cette XaAbRa

  • Carlsen looks always that incredibly angry if he loses a game.

  • if only the white king could get into the corner with his pawn on f7 it would have been a draw

  • @DionMarinos yes, how many games could have been won "if only.."

if only he would have had a few free turns while black sat back and watched! :p

  • LOL! @ 9:48 the cameraman starts laughing by the reaction of Magnus (I guess).

  • @Ferghy what r u talking about???, fool wanker

  • @surfermx

    are u retarded ?

  • Ke4 in 9:04 is the mistake, white had to hold his a pawn against the black king and pawn

  • carlsen es el mejor.......

  • Magnus Carlsen vs Hikaru --

    SAAAAAIIII!

  • a completely winning knight ending for magnus blown. . .

  • Go Nak!

  • Why is such a quality match up played in a shopping center??????

  • @lostinidlewonder

it's good for the fans, it's by the way a train station, (Oslo Central Station)

  • Yeah I did read it was in Central Station but I see a store int he background, elevator and commuters talking and kids shouting. I don't think a train station makes it any better :)

Norway has such a beautiful building and wonderful locations, I think the organizers of this event had no idea!

  • @MrGaarder - So this is being played in a mall that's located in a train station... lol

  • @MrGaarder i didnt hear a train?

  • @lostinidlewonder i dont know about u, but i like that place more than where they usually play

  • After every GM game I've seen they always get up and leave so fast after it's over... lol, why do they do that?. They start really quick too, a little hand shake and then 9 moves are played in like 1.2 seconds.

  • Carlsen had this game won with a two pawn advantage. He blew this game in a miss calculated pawn race. Naka is the king of blitz.....fast chess period.

  • @AlterEgo2k8

yes, Carlsen won final game #1 and should easily have won this (#2) as well.. then he had taken home the tournament. Carlsen told me afterwards he got a mental setback after this mistake - he wasn't really "in" the last two games..

  • @MrGaarder It's because those japanese samurai reflexes

  • @AlterEgo2k8 Instead of playing Kf6 in the pawn ending just after he took the knight on e6, he should play f4 followed by g4 f5 and then he is winning the race, promoting with a check

  • gz nakamura

  • Both of them are really sore losers unfotunately...or fortunately for them!

  • this is not true!

  • magnus just hates losing i think thats one of the reasons he is so good

  • nakamura is superhuman at blitz game - he even beats the best computer programs

  • @bodypowr I find that highly unlikely.

  • @bodypowr no he doesn't beat the best computer programs. your mouth is talking shit.

  • @BenNCM keep it civil, patzer, and check out these games:

Rybka (Computer) vs Hikaru Nakamura ICC blitz 3 0 2008

Rybka (Computer) vs Hikaru Nakamura ICC blitz 3 0 2008

    I rest my case!!

  • @bodypowr Perhaps you are stuck in a timewarp but the rest of the world lives in 2010. In computer development terms, that's light years of chess evolution. No doubt Naka would make light work of the 1977 chess program CHESS 4.6 too.

  • @BenNCM 3 years have not added that much to computer ratings...There might be slight improvements over the past two years, but no quantum leaps... Still, you might say the same about human players - since human chess ratings are pressing 2900 level soon. Anyway: My argument stands. Nakamura has beaten two of the top engines in blitz games, and its a superhuman achievement.

  • @BenNCM You can argue all you want, but the results speak for themselves.

  • @bodypowr the results suggest that you stopped learning in 2008.

  • @BenNCM read the scoreboard. Nakamura won. End of story. :)

  • @bodypowr thank God for that!

  • Carlsen is really not a gentleman when it comes to losing. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose. They shaked hands tho'

  • @Shoarmaboer20

    c'mon he's a kid

  • @Shoarmaboer20 they didn't shake hands because they wanted to it was more Carlsen resigning than anything else -_-

  • @Shoarmaboer20 he just got frustrated. thats all. anyway, who wouldnt get frustrated after losing with a 2-pawn advantage? :)

  • @Shoarmaboer20

he is Kasparov's student, check his game with Kosteniuk also here in youtube, looks like history is about to repeats itself... kasparov has once have an issue with touch move rule against a female player Polgar before. anyway its not certain yet if he could actually be great as his teacher.

  • @Shoarmaboer20

  • @danitz420 actually, the issue is not if he is going to be greater than his teacher... but how much greater, it's just a matter of time

  • @Shoarmaboer20 thats what happens when kasparov coaches u

    nah jk :P

  • @Shoarmaboer20 thats what makes him a great chess player...b/c he takes losing very hard. thats the thing with great players, they usually have great motivation for winning and hate losing. champions dont' have a sometimes you win, sometimes you lose attitude. its not so gracious tho'. just sayin'.

  • Did Carlsen win? I can't tell. :)

  • He should have won easily, but no, he lost - did some serious mistakes..

  • NO, Carlsen got his little ass spanked by the Blitz King!

  • @dfwtexxaas

Isn't Carlsen the world blitz champion? How can someone else be the king?

  • Because Nakamura schools him everytime...that makes him Blitz King

  • @dfwtexxaas

In the other video on here Carlsen wins.

  • Comment removed

  • Half man, half camera. The greeks did not think of that.

  • Ke5???, incredible blunder for Carlsen.

  • I dont think it is. But instead of Kf6?? he should have played g4,f4,f5. Then Carlsen would promote with a check :)

  • May be f4,but not g4 due to g5.

But if f4, black has h5!! ¿does it win?

  • You got a point!, g4 is not playable.

But f4,h5, Kf6! wins for white, because of the extra move on f4

  • At 09:33, I had this rare loving feeling for Carlsen. It made me realize he is not a cold machine after all as I thought once. Yet, he has elevated his ego lately. Who wouldn't after winning the world blitz championship and having almost the whole world eyes on him.

  • @javilack

I wouldn't say he's a cold machine. I greeted him that day and saw him around people. A nice chap really. I think in head to head sports generally you need lots of self confidence. But not ego! That's the beginning of your own downfall then.

  • thanks for uploading these

  • nakamura, the best chess blits player in the world, hehe, thanks for the upload mrgaarder!

  • Incredible ! Carlsen has a winning game, but you know its blitz and vs Nakamura it´s not easy cake.

  • Thanks for the upload Mr Gaarder

  • sorry guys, but this was all I could get with my N79 Nokia.. I wish you could see the time as well, it was quite exciting (3min + 2 sec )! at one point there Magnus Carslen discovers that he just has seven sconds left, dropping to 1 sec.. but then he moves like crazy and actually gains some time.. he lost though, making some severe mistakes.

  • lol I'm not a chess follower, and when I happened to come across this video I thought Matt Damon was playing chess!

  • LOOOOL, that would be the day :L

  • I actually think Magnus looks a bit like him sometimes as well!

  • Wish the cams would focus closer on the board, focusing from time to time on the player who stops to think.

  • That's right - why can't we get the view from the camera in front of this camera.
