  • A few things that might help. Fly/practice everyday(that's key). Stand with wind to your back, so when you turn the altitude rise/drop will be consistent. Always keep moving the cyclic and watch the heli response. Never/ever just point/move/relax.(get an airplane if you like that). Always be turning. Practice circular circuits(never figure 8's) and master one directional turn CW or CCW at a time. Better to have a solid reliable turn than mediocre at both. Keep on flying.

  • @trexinvert Flying everyday is the problem. Not enough time unfortunately although I'm making every effort to fly every weekend and as much as I can. Looks like I'll be stuck just hovering for a while than. Thanks for the pointers, seems obvious but I never though about that the way you described it. Gonna give it a try...

  • Hello N..42. How is your hovering skills(tail, right side, left side and nose-in)? How much do you practice on the simulator? Keep on flying.

  • @trexinvert Hi. Honestly I can't or am to chicken to do nose-in yet. I can do that on a sim but not when I fly the heli. For now I'm just doing side-in. Also, since the weather got nice I don't spend as much time on a sim as I should, instead I'm using every free minute of my time to get to a field. I'll keep on trying though ;-)
