@atxagent00b the game really is a lot of fun. When you start ( a normal) game you find yourself in the beginning of man. then you find yourself either battling or have peace with every one else. Then you can settle own mor eterritory and goods. and there is senarois which the game gives you a challenge to complete.

global warming will hurt you just as badly as your enemy. You never really use nukes in this game, just keep a few around for diplomatic purposes

if your playing on an easy difficulty however, then nuke away

In Civ 4 you can build as many nukes as you want

I did too!.. played on Deity and thanks to my genius planning.. created a massive war between everyone.. Was on a single continent map so when they were all slaughtering each other I expanded and made a permanent alliance with another guy.. and eventually won a Diplomatic victory.

Chess requires rote memorization of movesets, not intelligence, which is why computers are good at it. Shogi and Go are both orders of magnitude more complicated, and thus more difficult for non-human players to master.
