  • Unless you want to tour Europe or do 180mph it's close to being the perfect bike.

They're just over five grand now and that's a lot of bike for the money.

Tucked behind the fairing they'll do 140, that's fast enough for 90% of bikers.

  • It is now a little more than 5000 otr more toward 6500 otr.

  • @fidsey2 5339 on the road if you shop around.

  • Nice vid, well explained, now I know what to go out and buy.

  • your are the best "with Test"

  • Thank fuck he likes it, I've just shopped a gsxr1000 in for this bike and I *really* like it....thank god! It's a bit heavy and not as easy to commute on in stop start traffic because the bounce in the front forks unsettles the bike. It is *supremely* comfortable though and on the move can hussle with anything if you've got the skill. The GSXF actually does do everything. I even got 218 miles out of a tank before a refill. Mind you 190 seems to be the limit now, god knows what I'm doing wrong

  • Could anyone help me? Im planning to get a either a used GSX650F or a used Ninja650r. Any suggestion or things I should know that could help me make a decision? They're are probably going to be between 09-11 models

  • @sharrkbiite I've owned anSV650 and gsxf650. Ninja (similar to SV) has less power, weight, lack of top end speed and poor fuel range (sometimes). It'll max 130mph but it'll burn more fuel maintaining 100mph cruise. GSXf is heavier and harder to handle in traffic but is *WAY* comfier and has huge tank range (I once filled up at 218miles!) and more power. They're both sporty enough on the move and any good rider can make any bike hussle. I prefer the gsfx now but the SV was sportier. Get an SV!!!

  • @markmywords312 Thanks man! This really helps

  • @sharrkbiite

This might sound a bit stupid or even shallow but a big negative for me on the Ninja 650 is the sound it makes... I dunno but I don't like the sound of those twin cylinder engines on a sport bike.. based on that alone I'd rather get a GSX Lol.

  • excellent review.Thx

  • Have an '09 F. And I love it! Live in Ontario, Canada. My F weights 541 pounds wet. Like the extra weight! Gives extra stability in windy conditions. Very torquey. Pulls hard in every gear. Bike is comfortable at the track as it is in highway traffic. All day riding comfort. Best bang for ur buck! Nice vid!

  • @bodyweapons1Great comment, thinking of buying one. I am also in ontario, is it classified as a sport bike for insurance purposes?

  • The 650F is a really nice bike. I've got a couple of others, but you can't beat it for a -fun- ride, even if it's not as thrilling as the R versions. But it's not just about flat out performance - it's a good, comfortable and confident ride that one gets, and it's a thrill too. A better hybrid of a sports-tourer has yet to be made. The misses loves it on the back, and it's good with a top-box too. It's a bit top heavy (particularly with a full tank) but you don't notice once it's going.

  • I've owned one of these for 2 years and it is all he says it is - great around town, loads of grunt - (more torque than sport) and an excellent tourer. I've done several 600km plus trips and found it really comfortable to ride. Only down side is it can be quite heavy and easy to put down at super low speeds - particularly for the shorter rider. There's a LAMS version as well, so for daily commuters who want weekends away it's an excellent choice! And then there is the cost!!! ($10.5k in Aust.)

  • OMG who eats toast like that?!?

  • do you have to suit up like that every time?

  • nice riding position , I want to buy a r motorcycle but i´m a little worried about the riding position. This bike look very nice, but it´s fairly new is it not ? They did not make em back in say 99 - 00 .... ??

  • I took my license not long ago, here in Norway.

Although I haven't been riding a lot of different bikes since then, the Ninja 250, a Thundercat, and my schools bike, BMW F800R. The heaviest is not that much of a sporter, but taken in mind that. Would this be a good bike for me? what ever I buy, it will be my first bike. And I think the experience from the F800R is have made the high range a bit more available. but not really sure

    Any advices..?

    btw, I'm a 20 year old student =P

  • I finally got a job and its 100 bucks to finance this puppy here in canada for me Is this a good bike to start off with

  • Whats the fuel use per tank full ?

  • would this bike be very good for quite a tall person like 6.2

  • Omfg. I needed a learner bike (I live in Australia) so i got the ninja 250... its a great bike ive had it for 4 months now, but damn man i just found out about this suzuki bike.. REALLY NICE.

  • @Rkooner

dude im exactly the same. i bought my 250 brand new 4months ago and was speaking to someone with a learner legal 650 and now i want to trade my bike in for one haha

  • I had brought one and I have not been disappointed, I agree that its like 3 bikes in one. A great bike for a beginner rider, or for some one who has had lots of bikes and wants to go for short and long distance rides. I put on a Top Box and use soft panniers for my touring and it works a treat, I also put in a taller windshield and I am one happy rider. If you can only own one bike, this is a good one.

  • You like that double roundabout by Audi don't you!

  • yutokinemi

Take it easy, get use riding your 250 first like a year, and practice all the turns. don't be like my friend who thought he could ride a 900 just because he took one safety course and driven the 500 one time in his life.

too many kids are in patient. The more you take your time the better your'll be. being in a hurry will only get you killed.

  • Very good review thanks man.

  • ok so i was writing that before he got to the 216Kg so i guess it isnt lighter so why would you by the 650 cc when the 750 is lighter?

  • How heavy is it. I have a GSX 750F K1 and the only thing I dont lke about it is the weight. Dry it's 212Kg's. I would hope this is less?

  • Я влюбился в этот мотоцыкл.Буду продавать мой Kawasaki Versys-

  • Я влюбился в этот мотоцыкл!!!

  • Я влюбился в этот мотоцыкл!!!

  • ordered mine today, should be here by Friday next week. How do you think it would go on a 2500km ride?

  • @kcartner1 I think you had better run it in carefully first, and make sure there are no problems which might occur when you are far away from home :)

  • @cynic150 im not planning on making the trip until October/November...will be well run in by then. Fuel wise, how do you think it will go and would it be reliable on such a long ride?

  • @kcartner1 I don't know. But, I have heard only good things said about this bike. Good luck! And take care ;)

  • @cynic150 cheers mate ;)

  • nice

  • You stayed In your garage for a day?

  • This is a fantastic motorcycle. I've owned my GSX650F since June 2010, and have ridden it nearly every day since. It is everything Chris Moss describes in this video, and more!

And BTW: It's NOT a "beginners" bike. I've been riding for over 30 years, and it is everything I could want in a mid-sized, sporty motorcycle.

  • I bought this bike as my first bike two years ago...i still love every bit of it :)

  • this is so exactaly what i need! beautiful bike

  • Guys spot on about 650f capability, does exactly what it says on the tin

  • Great video. It helped me decide on buying one. I am very impressed by this bike. Thanks for the great video.

  • top video.

  • this is one of my all time favourite videos. It is very informative and shows off the bike excellently. Chris Moss (rolling stones gather no -) is a likeable, funny guy; I love his Lancshire(?) accent, its so strong. And apparently he really knows how to ride; he is believable. I will be the first to think about buying this bike when I get back to the UK. It is just what I'm looking for after not riding for 30 years.

  • Thanks! Finally a great review!

I already bought it though :)

  • i like this video.

But, it would be funny if he opened the garage door and there was nothing inside; it had been stolen! I didn't see any locks on it, or monster chains.

No, I really cannot wait to get on one of these, they look great.

  • how tall is the rider? do you find the bike being too heavy and too tall? thanks

  • is this a good first bike for someone who´s been driving a 250 cc cbf for 1 month?

  • @yutokinemiIt is a bike that is offered to new riders, so would be worth getting a test ride. See Suzuki's test ride reservation system on the Suzuki GB website to find your nearest dealer that can offer a test ride.
