This guy is simply UNBELIEVABLE!!! At 6:47 Maxwell says that nowhere in the Bible is it said that god created man. He uses Genesis 1:26 to try and convince that the Bible says that God used an already existent creature and made him into man. Shame he didn't read the next passage, because in Genesis 1:27 it says: "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them". CREATED X 3!!! By the way, God is also reffered to as singular - HE!!!

according to my research materials....the word that was translated to "create" refers only to OUTWARD form...not the inward (ie. moral) form. So "god" did not make the complete package.....he just changed the outward appearance.

anorak52, I'm not talking about the translation!!! I'm talking about the original in HEBREW!!! It says "vayivra" meaning "created" (out of nothing). This is in contradiction to making the sky and earth where it says "vayas" meaning "made" (out of something existent).

By the way in Genesis 2, when god makes a woman out of Adams rib it says "vayiben" meaning "built" (again out of something).

Right, in Genesis 1:26 is says let us, but I was talking about Genesis 1:27 where it says "god created" not "the godS created", it also says HE, when refering to god etc.

By the way, may rules in the old world talked about them selves and where talked to in third person plural as a sign of respect (if I remember correctly from my Arabic classes in high school, it is still done so in Arabic), which could explain why sometimes God is referred to as plural not singular.
