Yamaha gear at it's best. That TRB6 bass that Patitucci is rolling on sounds brilliant as do his killer chops of course. I just love this stuff.

Myself, all Yamaha, KX-88, TX-816, RX-5, DX-7 II, DMP-11 mixers and a ProMix 01 plus some other rack gear and Cubase.

What is so incredible is, that even though it is music on a high level it is made so most people “understands it” and thinks it’s great. ...and no one can count how much I listen to this while I had sex with my girlfriend in high school.

First kicks are on e & of beat one. Good way to keep track is singing the main bass groove (has the same rhythm in beat one) in your head over the two opening bars and the e & will feel more natural.

I saw the electric band with the same line up except Bob Berg was in it, around early to mid-nineties. I have never forgotten it, one of my top 3 best gigs - they were unbelievably tight. Start, stop, change, improvise and soooo slick. Monster band.
