@markshmily, true. If your able to camp at night, staying put is best. Although not every situation accounts for that scenerio. For instance summer desert conditions, too hot for daytime travel, and the other would be a possible time crunch scenerio where you arent afforded the liberty of camping out at night. Other than that, yes, by all means camp out at night.
Im a Ranger school grad and a very strong land naver, well done. Keep it simple is the best technique at night. Also always preset a panic asmuth if your not strong in this area. Key dont panic. Your never lost until you panic, then all bet are off.
Another great one bro. The box method, as you mentioned is , by far the simplest, and IMO, the single best way to get around obstacles. Thanks for sharing Derek!
People need to know how accurate and inaccurate paceing beads can be, given different terrains. That 400mtrs walk would be easy to pace accurate if you were on a good clear trail. But lets say you're walking through the woods, where your pace varies and the amount of extra paces that you put in as you zigzag around the trees, can make you reach your 400, well before your point on the map. Maybe you could also do a video on the shortfalls of paceing, just to give some extra to this video bro
Great video bro, as always it's good to see you shareing with folks that are still learning navigation skills. First I like to say that I've used the box many times to explain to people how to get around obsticles, it's easy to teach and easy to follow, so I'm glad to see someone else shareing it with the guys. As I'm running out of space here, I will bring up a point on paceing beads in another comments box.

Great video!
Wouldn't it be better to camp at night instead of having to travel?
Not to mention a lot safer?
