I think Katz is yet another academic who wants to blame "masculinity" with something evil oin society. I've read quite a bit about Columbine..especailly the writings of the killers. To my knowledge. I do not recall one mention of the plot to be part of "being a man" or connected with klebold or Harris' masculinity in either way. Men are just the more agreesive gender...so of course gender nuetral terms are used...we all know its boys....its not some cover up.

Perhaps there really is no right and wrong. Maybe there's no purpose to existence and no afterlife whatsoever.

Men are overwhelmingly the perpetuators and the victims of violence, and when a victim, women are most often victimized by men. So why isn't the "violence" problem in America being discussed through a gendered lens?
