I know this might seem a bit fucked but I was wondering, are the US marines or any other NATO force allowed to ambush Taliban with anti-personel mines away from bases?

I heard something about not being able to shoot at Taliban first or something so was just wondering what you guys do when you spot them lot first.

@SSDogSoldier Negative, Maybe USA, but Canada is part of the Ottawa Convention. The only anti-pers mine we are allowed to use are Claymores, and have to be manualy trigerred by us, and we have to have a visual on the claymore.
