you've done a good job explaining the download but you've not said anything about opening the listening port...and what to do if you can't get it open...from all the forums i've read it seems to be a problem for allot of people...my router is a 2wire 2701HG-B if that helps..any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated

HELP! PLEASE mine saves a s a LIMEWIRE torrent when i download it and it wont go into transmission! ??

@lilyoda250 You should be able to just drag the 'Limewire Torrent File' onto the Transmission icon in your doc and it will be recognised. Thats what I do when they save as Vuze files. On the other hand, whilst in Transmission if you go to File>Open Torrent File you can simply search the file and open it that way.

vuze sucks, theres too much advertising, transmission is lightweight torrent downloader

Transmission is really fast, Ubuntu completely copied mac os x.

maybe you can use VLC to play the video

im not sure if its different on a mac but you have to rename the file and put ''.flv'' or another file like that. Then you have to download a video converted, just google it. Then convert the video and then you can watch it.

Hey guys i need some help, I am on a macbook and i downloaded a torrent movie file. They are all rar files, i extract them with unrarx however while extracting it gets to 99% and then it says error invalid password. I have the password for the video file but i do not know where to enter the password, any help would be great thanks!
