The issues with the play review equipment regarding the lateral forever taints the game for me. Well never know what would have happened if they made the correct call when Vince Young's knee was down as he lateraled.
Yes, I am a Texas fan and I have no qualms about it. The thing is, there were a ton of great plays in that game. I looped the song twice and could have looped it 4 times and still not gotten in the great plays from both teams. I never claimed to be impartial as I mostly just cut this for Longhorn fans.

Greatest year of football for me. I live in Ohio but, I bleed Burnt Orange through and through. My high school Steubenville Big Red went 15-0 for the second straight year and won a back to back Division III Ohio State Championship. The Horns won the Rose Bowl. Then my favorite pro team the Pittsburgh Steelers won the Superbowl. Was absolutely amazing!!

Greatest year of football for me. I live in Ohio but, I bleed Burnt Orange through and through. My high school Steubenville Big Red went 15-0 for the second straight year and won a back to back Division III Ohio State Championship. The Horns won the Rose Bowl. Then my favorite pro team the Pittsburgh Steelers won the Superbowl. Was absolutely amazing!!

@7thThunder That was far from the deciding factor. Besides, Texas ran the ball at will on USC all night. You're trying to tell me USC was going to all of a sudden stop Texas from scoring? USC was up by 12 with 6 minutes to play and lost. The "Greatest Team Ever" didn't win; get over it.....

I knew his knee was down when i was watching that on tv. the next morning on sportscenter they even reviewed it and said his knee was down. but you cant take a trophy back after you already gave it to a different team.

@7thThunder If the refs call Young down, its 1st and 10 from the 12. Though USC couldn't manage to stop Vince Young at any point in the actual game, I'm sure they would have produced a brilliant goal-line stand in your imaginary world. i gotta say this was the greatest college football game of all time, here's why:
1) 2 of the greatest teams ever. #1 vs #2, both were undefeated & had great players
2) it was so close & came down to the last minute
3) the 2 best college football programs of the 2000s

Colt McCoy better than VY. How many games has Colt started in the NFL. They couldn't be more different, VY is a mobile QB, Colt is not (more or less). I do agree with bsiffy, hands down (along w/'07 Boise St. v. Oklahoma), the greatest game of the decade & quite possibly, of all-time.
