@FzDarkStaR At my petco it is $139.99 but it changes with the amount they have and how old the ferrets are. If you live close to a ferret adoption agency I would go there first. They typically will work with you to adopt a ferret for cheap ($75 at the most) with pairs even. I've even heard how they will give away supplies. Hope that helps.

@LagmonX Not really. They smell because of the oils they secrete through their skin. Excessive bathing causes ferrets to replace the moisture they lost with more oils, making them smell worse. It barely has anything to do with how clean a ferret is (the scent they emit). Whenever my hob (male ferret) tips over is litter box, I discipline him with a spray bottle and a few harsh words.

I sprayed her every time she tried biting on her cage bars to come out (she's spoiled, because my ferrets get 10 hours of play time out of their cage) and she didn't stop doing that until part of her one of her canines chipped off. I sometimes tap mine on the nose to get them to stop doing something I don't like.

He bit through two of the bars on his cage so that way as soon as he wakes up and wants to get out even when we arent home he can get out, we had to buy wire mesh to seal it up. The only way i can get him to stop what he's doing is grab his scruff and put him somewhere else.

They can kill animals up to the size of a rabbit. Small dogs (under 10lbs) can be seriously injured when playing with ferrets, as ferrets, for their size, are pretty tough and play rough.

They thrive on human interaction and insist you stop whatever you're doing to play with them.They are among the most friendly, fun and silly animals you will ever meet. My local Petco ferrets are in the worst shape. They are packed in a medium glass cage and a white top with some holes. They have no toys. And the smell is unbearable. I feel so bad for them and they are only babies.

Actually it DOES matter where they come from. Do you understand that YES the pets need to be taken care of but when you PURCHASE an animal from a store ALL IT DOES is put more money in the breeders pockets. AND makes ANOTHER room for another poor animal in the petstore. So really it's NOT saving an animal because another one goes in it's place. I have seen MANY poor guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, etc in pet stores that I wanted to take home but DIDNT because I know where my money goes.

I'm positive NO border checks. just follow valpolala's instructions... ohh yea you won't be able to buy ferret food in Cali, ok just buy (non wet) cat food. it is the #2 thing to feed ferrets(#1 is ferret food) Make sure to give them a big cage and play with them a lot. (try to get 2 ferrets to keep each other company) :)

I live in South Australia (they only cost $50 here by the way) and fellow ferret lovers moved to Queensland where they are illegal, so left their baby with me.
