Can someone explain how he has that 12-string tuned such that he can play it using just his thumb? I don't see him playing any chords.... is he just playing the bass note?
hes using an open tuning on the guitar. there are different open tunings you can use. with open tunings you can just bar across one fret and make different chords.
he's using an open d tuning. You just thumb the 4th 5th and 6th strings. leaving the others open. play the g and a chords at the 5th and 7th fret.
