  • There not aircraft left! if that were the case there would not any!

  • RF-D = Jan Zumbach

  • wow i diddent know that there was so many spitfires and hurricanes left

  • the greatest helmsman, other than churchill, was dowding, who husbanded his fighter forces, sending them up only after bombers, avoiding the jousts sought by goering among knights of the air, which der fatso intended to win.,242 sq under bader the double amputee assisted by baders badgering keith park to assemble multiple wings making a crowded sky,but proved effective in knocking down great numbers .

  • This is one of my favorite pieces of engineering ever.

  • The female narrator claims the RAF from Duxford kept the Germans from getting air superiority, that's BS. In order to gain superiority the Germans would have had to have aircraft with longer range. A Me109 had about 5 minutes over British soil before they had to return to Base in France. Just not enough fuel could be carried. Stupid reporters spouting off.

  • @wolfakuehlen Didn't the Germans bomb Coventry?

  • @wolfakuehlen the situation was much more complex than that ! you do not mention radar . the reporter was saying what she was told to say, because the general puiblic are not interested in the loiter time of a 109E ( it was about 20 minutes in fact ).

be NICE to the cute reporter ! roflmto....

  • Beautiful {:)

  • I have created a music album which charts this same period of British history:

Britain At War - Darkest Hour by Rhesus Monkey. The album covers the Prelude to War, The King's Speech, The Battle of France, Dunkirk, The Battle of Britain, and of course The Blitz. I've also created a video to accompany Churchill's address to the United States in June 1941: 'The Old Lion'. You can view that video within my YouTube channel.

  • I am desperately wanting a picture of the Lancaster Bomber serial number PD 255...on the side of the plane is BQ T.

It was shot down on operations in Dusseldorf 2/11/1944, take off was at 16:16 but F.T.R.

My relative SGT V.C. Morgan and his crew were all killed, all but two are buried at Rheinburg Cemetary, Germany.

I need pictures of this plane from Sqdn 550.

    Thank you.

  • Cabbage crates coming over the briny.

  • Good stuff!
