  • I have this camera but all of my footage (always shot outdoors) is spoiled by the many light bubbles that appear. I can expect that in sunshine but they appear regardless of the weather. I am so fed up of it I am thinking of getting rid of it and buying another one. I don't want to though as this one isn't even two years old yet. I did buy a special lens that is designed to keep out the light bubbles but it doesn't help whatsoever.

I would really appreciate you advice, Thankyou,

  • how to u put the video on your computer plese sent me message

  • I have a budjet of 500$, should this one is the best for my price ?

  • @DarthPoster YEAH ITS A REAL GOOD CAMCORDER! but i would buy an CANON EOS 550D !!! THATS A CRAZY CAM!!

  • is this camera with 3ccd sensors?

  • No. Only Panasonic's high-end camcorders have three sensors—the HDC-HS300 and the HDC-TM300—and both of them use CMOS sensors. The HDC-SD20 uses one CMOS chip.

  • When you compare this to the TM300 there is a BIG difference!

  • LOL! Ofcourse it is! and SO is the price!! xD You know what, if you compare a toilet with a swimming-pool, it´s a BIG difference! xD

  • what mm size is the lens?? because i wanna fit a fisheye lens on it but i dont know the mm to buy the lens size

  • 43mm

  • £296? Wtf?

  • Just ordered mine from QVC too :)

  • QVC were selling this model for £296 (April '09), which is an absolute bargain. It may only be an entry level HD camcorder, but for the price it's unbeatable.

I've compared the quality of the SD20 to the much higher spec 3 x MOS TM300. Though there is a visible increase in colour and sharpness, it does not justify paying £700-£800 for them.

Sure you get some extra tricks like 10 Megapixel stills etc, but IMHO 1MOS vs 3MOS is a Panasonic marketing scam.

  • I got myself one of these on QVC! Waiting for it to arrive...can't wait!

  • how long did yours take to arrive?

  • Not long at all....about 4 days I think, plus that was with a mix up with my debit card/billing address! Your one not there yet?
