What stops micro evolution? For a cell type to stop adding information it would have to have an information analyzer on board to know when it was on the road to going to far. And such a system would be larger in extent than the cell nucleus. There is no such thing in any cell ever seen. You just WANT it to stop because that feeds your need for evolution to be ridiculed. Find that mechanism and you'll have the last laugh.

Major flaw: you are directing this "evolution". Natural selection doesn't set distant goals to be met. The "goal" is always being the best survivor/reproducer for the current environment.

There is no interplay of one population against another viaing for limited resources. This is a demo of one thing i was able to do with evolutionary software. Some day I'll get around to commenting it for more useability. Meanwhile it's not the worst code in the world to use as a base for starting your own. I take special pride in the gene swapping parts and the variable (and varying) mutation rates that work to help bounce populations out of local minima (not completely natural, but very usefull)

What stops micro evolution? For a cell type to stop adding information it would have to have an information analyzer on board to know when it was on the road to going to far. And such a system would be larger in extent than the cell nucleus. There is no such thing in any cell ever seen. You just WANT it to stop because that feeds your need for evolution to be ridiculed. Find that mechanism and you'll have the last laugh.

This is how science is not a religion... There is no central idea or precept as a foundation, it is built purely through observation, experimentation and peer reviewed acceptance. It does not prescribe meaning to anything, just explanation.

Chromosome 2 fusion evidence merely knocks out the creationists claim that chromosome count matters. In and of itself it doesn't really indicate much about evolution(if you completely ignore the gene sequence matching that led to confirming the fusion. The sequence matches are the real evolution confirmer here). Just look into ERVs. No not at creationist websites. At actual research papers by real scientists.(this last wasn't directed at you chodaboy)

The significance of Chromosome 2 fusion as proof isn't that count matters. It's the fact that it was predicted before human sequencing was done.
It was stated that if humans were closely related to chimpanzees, there had to be a fused human chromosome.
Here is the clincher. The assumed Human Chimpanzee common origin in light of a non matching chromosome count was the only reason for such a prediction.

It is hard to get around the fact that we knew in advance to sequencing that there would be a fused pair as required by a common ancestry.

ERVs are remnants of failed VIRAL infection which occurred in an ancestor's SEX CELL(sperm or egg) and got propagated in its child. For many ERVs the viral insertion SITE is completely random.
Finding one of these in the same location in two individuals indicates they each had that same ancestor.
Humans and chimps share many of these ERVs in common in the same locations. What other conclusion can one come to?

Major flaw: you are directing this "evolution". Natural selection doesn't set distant goals to be met. The "goal" is always being the best survivor/reproducer for the current environment.

Did you read the side bar? LOL who would think to mistake this for natural selection? This mode of evolution is EXTREEMLY anatural. It is a FIXED population. There is no interplay of one population against another viaing for limited resources. This is a demo of one thing i was able to do with evolutionary software. The man point was to see if anyone would DL my code and look it over and maybe find some use in it for themselves. Where's the flaw in that? Can you write a GA that doesn't evolve?

Good stuff, although a self-automated environment would be better(..or at least more entertaining) to simulate evolution, I think it's not too hard to implement random "food" appearance and let the algorithm do the rest. You can also add new Information of "spread",[a segment splits into two], so a worm could[due gene variety] become more a brunch, so he can reach more ressources at the same time,at the same number of segments..so he has to "find" an equilibrium[interesting domain of evolution]

I'm working on a huge simulator project involving plants animals barriers with a variety of co-existing dynamic environments and such. This particular version was started as a test of using GA to work up a path through twisty tunnels for a robotic rope controller.

Yes I did. And I fail to see where evolution occurs. For instance-bacteria mutated is still bacteria; no evolution happening there. Show me where one kind of animal "mutates" into another kind of creature.

If this occurs on a primary gene the old information(for that individual) is lost. If it occurs on a copy gene(a duplicate) the original AND the new product are both produced. Some day I'll get around to commenting it for more useability. Meanwhile it's not the worst code in the world to use as a base for starting your own. I take special pride in the gene swapping parts and the variable (and varying) mutation rates that work to help bounce populations out of local minima (not completely natural, but very usefull)

If you study philosophy, you will come to understand that "knowing" with complete certainty is an impossibility. The true metric of knowledge is the likelihood that your predictions are accurate. Scientific faith gets much closer to that goal than religious faith, by the simple fact that participants in the scientific process expect to be challenged.
"Laws" of science are those principles that have withstood countless tests. Evolution is a law.

In fact, take a program like this one here. You have RMNS with inheritace. It's impossible to make it NOT evolve. To make it not evolve you have to break the rules. That means removing the mutation or removing selection or making the inheritance go away. It works the same way in biology computers and sad to say in human brains.
