  • One of my favourite pieces of music of all time

  • Sping High is a awesome tune. If you listen closely you hear Ramsey scattin along with the piano solo like Thelonius. HOT!

  • Sounds like Stevie. I saw Ramsey perform this one at Slippery Rock State University in 75. I also saw him open for EWF around the same time at Pittsburgh's Civic Arena. That was when RL was hot with his "Sun Goddess" release. Great time period. Great bassman on Spring High. Paul Jackson, maybe???

  • I think the bass player on this album is Ron Harris I believe.

  • You guessed it. Stevie Wonder was on keyboard. My father still got that album.

  • I love that you posted the great "Spring High" by Ramsey Lewis off the "Love Notes" LP. I wish they'd reissue that as a CD because the title song is nowhere else in the universe but on that vinyl record!

When you get a chance, could you please (mr. postman!) post "Love Notes". It is also a classic slow groove. Both songs, I do believe, were written by Stevie Wonder.

  • Think this is one of his best solos i have heard from him 02:11

  • Words fail me so Ill just listern again and again and..............

  • would love to buy a drink for the guy who, in the eighties, gave me a Ramsey Lewis album, i have been a big fan since. Great nights in THE COUNTY INN. Thursday nights were Brilliant. If you read this leave a message.
