It was bad enough CBS pulled the plug on BCN then they had the audacity to transfer the call letter to some talk radio station in Charlotte NC!!!! That way no one else can use those call letters back here in Boston where they belong. These corporate dipshits are nothing but a bunch of clueless, heartless DICKHEADS!!!

BCN was dead for years before it went off air. They stopped playing anything new in the early '00s (unless Weezer or NIN had a new record out) and after that it was just "remember the 90's" radio. And hey, I love that era, but I already own "Nevermind", thanks.

Dispite the charges i think in the last 4 days of wbcn they should have included mark parenteau. he was a major part of that station every afternoon.

Bill Bracken and I (both ex-WBCN) are still doin' the rock thing (we wouldn't have it otherwise!) with Age Against The Machine Also- we JUST recorded a tune that we wrote that GARY CHERONE of EXTREME (ex-VAN HALEN, TRIBE OF JUDAH) recorded vocals on. Its under the band name "ANKLELOCK". Tune is "Comin' To Get You"- which is on ITUNES, AMAZON, NAPSTER, CDBABY and so on...

CBS Radio has been making stupid decisions! First, 97.1 FM Talk in LA was flipped to Top 40, then 92.3 K-Rock in NYC was flipped to Top 40 aswell, now WBCN is replaced with Hot AC? What the hell? And why does 98.5 have to be sports? I rather have them switch frequencies, plus sports doesn't go with FM.

thanks, that's a great song and a perfect fit. i'm pretty upset with this whole thing. what a mess. i don't know what to do with myself anymore while driving and i spend a lot of time in the car....2 hours to get home last night and that was thursday. i'm glad toucher and rich stayed alive but after listening to them this morning, i am worried. we'll see what happens. thanks for posting this.

Thank you for posting this. I've been listening to BCN for years, and I had to miss the final minutes. This video is chilling, sad and shocking. It was a great way to go out. I'm going to miss BCN, this is just another blow to the once great Boston music scene.

The last 4 days of BCN has been some of the best radio I've ever heard.

I'm sad to see it go. I'm sad to crap 98.5 in its place. I'm sad that there will be no more new memories made by BCN. I hope people remember how important BCN was
