gee, thanx for responding konan. but im still wondering how you managed to make all the perfect shapes with the sheet aluminium. you know what i mean like all the panels on the side and the top, they look perfect man!!
@MrHusla786 I actually marked where to cut with a marker then cut it out messed up on a few of them till i got some good pieces then i just put it all together after i just used some goofoff and took the sharpie marker off. or you can use a dry erase marker and then just wipe it off after, which i should ahve done first. Thanks again!
aw man, !!! thats awsome . Tell where you got the material from is it aluminium????? PLEASE do a video on what you made it with a nd stuff. its better than anyones on youtube .
@MrHusla786 sheet aluminum from home depot, wish i could make a video but i already created it, if i plan on making another one i will for sure record my progress! thanks for the complements, hope this helps!
hi you have some serious talant and i was wondering if you could email me copies of your scimatics if you have any because i have a hole work shop at my disposal at my school with laser cuting machines and stuff because im very good friends with the engineer teatcher. so could you please inbox me with an answer thanks.
@cyrusthevirus1240 unfortunately i never made schematics of this, kinda just flowed out ideas as i made it sorry if i did make any i wouldn't mind at all. thanks!
just add metal plating thats exactly like the plates on the movie and insert strong magnets in the plates and they will stick together without bolts and screws. that what im doing to my suit.
Dude, you are a genius. I saw this video about eight hours ago. Since then I've been to Walmart, Walgreens, and a hardware store gathering parts to attempt to achieve something that will not compare to what you made. When someone says awesome, they have no idea what the word means till they see the kind of work you did to create those parts. Awesome!
@Rikotistic check out my newer arc reactors, and if your in walmart look in the shower/bathroom area for simliar parts, thanks so much for the complement, but trust me practice makes perfect you can make one as good or better than me, Goodluck
i admire your skills. I've been searching everywhere for a tutorial to make these things, and once you make one, i will follow yours. I really like what you did
@Sto0pidPenguinPro Sorry but i free handed the replusor arm, the tutorial is for the mark I arc reactor. Thanks alot for comment, i just have patience i guess, Good luck
Hey dude, I recently uploaded a video of a Whiplash (From Iron man 2) inspired arm device, and I was hoping someone of your skill could give me a few tips or suggestions? I think what you have made is brilliant so feel free to tell me what you think about mine :)
@konan2009 Thanks for your reply. It's awesome! And couldn't be more accurate. I made some really cheap ones from scraps and dollar store materials. It's nothing like yours, but I'm happy with it. I just have trouble with the part that goes around my bycep. How do you keep it from wanting to slide down your arm? Are the wires holding it up somehow? The wires on mine are just for looks. The only lights come from a tap light. You should make more and sell them tho.
@oud25 Just placed them in two circles and soldered them, the switch is a reset button out of a computer case, its recess behind the repulsor so when i extend my palm it pushes in a turns on the LEDs
Man... that is good. Im looking for designs at the moment for the arm piece, ill have to watch this video a few times as a reference, cause that looks so good. Cheers for posting :)
@s28400 Started the frame with a wire coat hanger bent it how i needed then glued it together and added the foam inbetween for the thickness then last i placed the aluminum over and added wires and such, i used the scene in the movie as a reference
When you said you used aluminium, did you mean aluminium sheets? what did you use to cut it (because it's very neat) and how thick was it? In essence how did you make the frame :P
Are all the wires actually there for a reason or just for show? Also, what kind of lights did you use for the Arc Reactors and are you at all experienced with electronics and such or are the lights pretty straight forward? Thanks a lot :)
@JKBearness Yes one of the pair on wires travel from my hand all the way up my arm to the battery pack, the rest of the wires are for show. The LED's used for my arc reactor were a pack of christmas cool white leds lights for about 6 bucks for 70 leds. Yes i am experience with electronics but you don't have to be to wire leds together it is pretty straight forward just be cautious when messing with solder/solder guns read up online before trying it. Goodluck
@yiyouninja Sorry i really didnt have a tutorial cause i kinda added as i went along, then put it all together. Im planning on making a new one soon maybe then ill make an instructable.
I made it from scratch, its 30 leds soldered together and wired to a switch as shown ^^, when i extend my palm it pushes the switch and activates the leds & my ark reactor to light up brighter.
all this was under 25 bucks, mostly spent on the glue and aluminum which is whats layering the Repulsor Arm...it just took alot of time to make everything fit right and dry. You could do it too, if you have patience. ;)
all you need to do now is plate it with red and gold titanium alloy XD
