Muslim rule in India started with Slave dynasty.Qutbuddin Aybak was first ruler.

This slave dynasty ruled from 1206 till 1290.

Then Khalji dynasty ruled from 1290 to 1320,tuglag dynasty ruled from 1320 to 1413,Sayyid dynasty ruled from 1414 to 1451 and Lodi dynasty ruled from 1451 to 1526.

The mogul dynasty started in 1526 when Babar defeated Ibrahim Lodi to take over Delhi. Thus total years ruled by muslim ruler is approx 650 (from 1206 to 1857)

mogul rule declined with the rise of Maratha rule when Chatrapati Shivaji came to power in 1674.Practically after 1707 (after Auranzeb) there was hardly any powerful mogul king.

Apart from this various islamic came to power in India between 1200 to 1526. Note that they ruled mostly the north part of India.

Hi ZPSonu, I respectfully disagree with your statement that Muslim rule was started by Slave Dynasty. It was actually started by Muhammad Bin Qasim. In fact even Muhammad Ghori came before Slave Dynasty

Mogul Empire in India started in 1526 by Babar and ended in 1857.Last moghul king was Aurangzeb. Total duration of mogul rule is 332 years.

Details are -

Babar rule - 1526 to 1530

Humayun rule - 1520 to 1540 and 1555 to 1560

(Sher shah suri ruled between 1540 and 1555)

Akbar rule - 1560 to 1605

Jahangir rule - 1605 to 1627

Shahjahan rule - 1627 to 1658

Aurangzeb rule - 1658 to 1707

Rest of the mogul kings were very weak.The last one was Bahadur shah zafar who ruled till 1857.
