Give me a break--Bush screwed up on so many levels that there is no defense so like a child, rather than take any responsibility he's getting belligerent. He's one of the worst presidents ever so he's thrashing about, pointing fingers, trying to take responsibility for what DIDN'T happen and absolve himself of responsibility for what did.
What a screwed up argument from Bush, he messed up on 911, he was AWOL from the most important task entrusted to any president. I bet on sept 10 he did not know who Bin Laden was or what threat AlQaida posed.
Matthews brought it up, but didn't eleborate, that Bush/Cheney stampeded Congress into rubber-stamping the Patriot Act before the elections. What he forgot to remind people is that, conveniently, an envelope of anthrax powder was sent to Tom Daschle (D), which originated from a secret U.S. biological weapons lab which we denied existed before. Hmmm?
If he was ACTUALLY "protecting the homeland" he be more popular. Instead, he was wrong about the best way to protect the country and we are screwed because of it.
Bush is not only pissed off because everything he has done from the war, to screwing with our constitution has been done to achieve a NWO. He fell short and blew it and in the process destroyed everything we stand for and are looked up to for.

bled away our moral authority?! lol ...lets be nice to prisoners and give them a cup of coffee after they commit attrocities against us! this country is a fucking joke!!! a bunch of political pussys! We are too soft on criminals and as far as terrorists= give them every necessary tactic in order to gain info now matter how tough it is -it may save american lives...fuck them!!! terrorists have no rights!!! You think china would be soft on terrorists???? they would castrate them !!!!!
if you tread your enemies differently than your own people, your not better than those you fight. its a little think called morals, of course you can torture youre prisoners, or even better, lets do some experiments on them, maybe they can after all be worth something to society.since their lower human beings whats wrong with it?
how far do you go on this road? and the majority of the worlds population agrees that the us have gone to far already, creatign an enclave were normal rules dont apply
and it makes me sick as a european, and a german, who knows what this thinking leads to, that the us, the so called beacon if light for freedom, is willing to break with its moral founding, its essence, to bring some irrelevant xx % more security trough information obtained by torture.if i could get bin laden by torturing an 11 year old kid who tried to bomb something, because he was indoctrinated his whole life, should i do it??
Agreed. Bush is attempting to straightjacket Obama, and it's not gonna stick well. Mathew's admires Bush's 'Brass Ones'--Fine Rhetoric LOL! That was written for him by his advisors to give the Repub governors ammo for commercials in 2 years.
Not having a terrorist attack SINCE 9/11 is a triumph of keeping America safe, does the fact that 9/11 happenned in his watch not count for anything.

I can't believe Matthews ... Bush only admitted to staging his photo ops wrong. Thank god Suskind was there.
