And by the way, yes, I have both seen and fired a shotgun. Seeing as how people climb in and out of bed daily, I simply don't feel that against the bed is a particularly safe place to keep a shotgun.

It also only takes a split second to roll out of bed/reach under it for a shotgun.

Also, locking your door at night is a great way of preventing yourself from ending up in a situation where you only have a split second to blow someones head off with a shotgun (especially if you have to do so while laying in bed... wtf)
