Great effort but why carve up a strat to make that? If you could afford to buy the furniture, you could have bought a neck from anywhere? And you'd still have a strat.

Good planning and execution, could have done with more coats of paint&lots of wet sanding, but each to their own taste.

I suppose you'll learn as you go.

Hey man, can I give you a tip on a guitar model? Why don't you make a little wider and thinner SG ? When I looked at the video thumbnail, really looked like a thinner SG with a wider body.

duudeee ... this is awesome!! what was the finish like ? when i made a guitar i put 5 coats of primer and 7 coats or red paint with no lacquer ... and it chips and peels off real easy? what is yours like ? is the Finnish like a shop Finnish?

The guitar needs to be wet sanded so you can't feel the paint lines. I know you can feel them cause I can see them. 15 to 20 coats of clear and a lot of elbow grease. Also the guitar is making an awful lot of noise for having active EMG's. I have built three guitars, all with EMG's and they are quiet. They sound good thru my cheap Spyder III amp too.

yeah work on your play alittle bit and you need some better tone i have the same amp

i use T-7 M-6 B-8 and contour at 8 try it and tell me how you like it.you can check out my videos to see how you like it. hope that helps

You should of positioned the Jack plate on the same angle as the back line it's on. Wouldn't of stood out as much but this is a beautiful Guitar, awesome job.

how important is it for the neck to be perfectly straight when set? can intonation adjustments make up for small imperfections?

@justjoe032 no ... its vital everything is square and set correctly ... in this vid at the end you can clearly hear that this guitar is not all square and the sound suffers for it ... also bridge may not be set correctly
