  • helping people think outside the box. This is a very good mission.

  • nice one!

  • No question, creativity is what makes the world interesting.

  • Haaah. Stanford student here. This commercial is bogus. Yes, there are lots of people here who are passionate about innovation and creativity. How much does that translate into our undergraduate curricula? Not much. Also, only tourists look at those statues (:08), Taiko (:14) performs the same thing all the time, and if you're really passionate about dance (:05) or painting (:16), you sure as heck don't want to go to Stanford. This school has some of the most risk-averse undergrads ever.

  • excellent work!

  • "creative thinking". Teaching how to think. haha.... people are born knowing how to think. An excuse for professors to not teach. You teach yourself in the library lol. colleges certify. College students know their stuff.... but because professors weed out the brightest and hardest working students. NOT beacause professors teach good lol. Tenured professors do not have to teach good, they cannot lose their jobs. They research to gain funds, etc. YOU TEACH YOURSELF NO MATTER WHAT UNIVERSITY! lol

  • No.

  • Yes.

  • Mesmerizing. Thank you. THANK YOU! *teardrop*

  • lol nice commercial.

  • And I want to thank the man from this video for very understandable pronunсiation! =)

  • Probably whats more important is "what you learn" and "how you want to learn" rather than "where u learn"....So for all those non-stanfordians...game is still not over....But the ambiance of being amidst great minds surely helps!!

  • 24 century???

  • Could anyone tell me what's the last sentence about? I cannot understand it.

  • "The people THAT inhabit it." Should be "who".

These American unviersities are over-rated; it shouldn't be your "dream" to attend them.

  • No, "THAT" also works in this case, because he's trying to put strong emphasis on "those people" there, it's just a different figure of speech.

  • I was pretty sure there was a blanket and exclusive of "who" in that situation.

  • it sounds like he's going to say "from the very beginning of our universe" lol

  • hahah ;)

  • Acctually, that's not entirely true. You cannot declare that one college is better than the other or that one college is the best in its region/country. Each college is unique in its own way. For example, one might have a better engineering department, and the other might have a better Journalism department. I think it's silly to say one college is better than another..

  • this is my dream, but it's almost impossible..

Has anyone got an idea what the admission rate is for students from Europe?
