  • Love this in this key - he's able to mold the words comfortably and he sings this straight without many idiosyncrasies.

  • Thanks for sharing...I always thougth what should it have been, if he did not died so young, and had the chance to install himself on stage, sing and tour a while, and then returned to films...only God knows, but sure he was a great tenor, and we will remember him forever!!! BRAVO!!!!!

  • very nice!!!!!

  • Yes, I think I have the old LP from that session. He had, when wanted to use it, a most beautiful lyric instrument.

  • thank you so much for this.

  • Wonder why he sang this in the much lower key??

  • @Lovelytenor1 that's something I have always wondered and which nobody seems able to answer. Mysterious, as it certainly wasn't like him to avoid high notes or pieces with a high tessitura. His health was bad, but he sang things much higher than this in the same recording session! so, who knows. It is a nice rendition, I particularly like the phrasing on the final "una novella aurora"

  • This is another fine example of the many, many absolutely beautiful pieces written by the great Paolo Tosti. Wonderfully sung here by Lanza.Che bellissima canzone ! Bravo Maestro Tosti e Lanza. Mille grazie Natalia for sharing this.

  • Just beautiful. Thank you for this.
