Ummm... not all Libraries are socialistic, same about police and fire depts. I officially hate Public education - sucks, miseducates and create serfs for the govt. Public transportation is clumsy, idiotic, and can only operate with special privileges. Any thing that is tax (inflation or otherwise) funded is a strict no no from my perspective. The only exception I make for socialism is voluntary socialism - which I have no problems with - although I think that is a dumb idea too.

The private fire departments would fight with each other for jobs, and deny each other access to water mains through various tactics while the house burned down.
Also, you had to be able to afford to pay the department in order to save your house. That's why public fire departments were created.

Really? How about you try to organize against smaller entities first. Lets say your local mafia/drug dealing establishment. They are much smaller, have much fewer guns, and cannot put you in prison and charge your neighbors to pay for it. That too will not be considered legal or justified.
Try organizing against these smaller interests - when you succeed with those, try bigger fish, like the government.
It is comically tragic that people believe that government can EVER be non-corrupt.

We wouldn't know his real stance on many issues until he got into office. Would he be for cleaner energy or would he ignore it? Would he support marriage equality for all segments of society? Would he support the right of a woman to not risk her life to have an abortion? Would he respect the right of self defense over the bullshit rhetoric of neofacists?
