He was bigger than the other kids who chased him around the yard every day, twice a day, at little and big break. There'd be what was called the 'daily rounds' - the big fat kid with glasses being chased around the school grounds for the duration of both rest periods. How he didn’t lose weight with that kind of running regimen I don’t know, but it was relentless.
He got chased home too. Poor kid. He’d be wailing as soon as he got out of the class and into the yard. The odd kid would kick him in the ass, making the cries more hysterical, occasionally he’d stop, winded, but that just made him a sitting target. The wailing, the tears, I don’t know how he took it every single day, and then on the way home too. I saw his poor mother at the school a few times – I don’t think he had a father around, at least no one ever saw him.
I’m sure his mother explained as best as she could what kind of misery it was for both of them, my heart goes out to her now. Why this one child should suffer – and how the school did seemingly nothing to stop it – must have been the bane of her life. I don’t think I ever saw A.C. in public without his mother, this big frightened kid in a duffle coat, following his mother everywhere, his bodyguard outside the house of nightmares that was his school.
That kid was bigger than all of us. All it would have taken was for him to smack the first kid square on the nose and his whole life would have been different. We would have had our cards marked - don't mess with the big kid.

u may b able to recognize a child who is being neglected and abused may smell, and may wear the same clothes every day cause maybe their parents wont buy them new stuff (even poor parents try to get resources for their kids, even if its help from neighbors and food pantries)their social skill will also b lacking because they dont know how to handle themselves confidently, because it was destroyed in them at home.
sometimes bullies at school target kids who r being abused at home. kids who r abused at home or who r neglected and not loved...they appear different...a little ragged looking and awkward. bullies pick up on this as a weakness. some kids get no love in their lives

Busymother, there is nothing you can do about bullying. It has always happened, happens and will continue happening as long as we are humans. The issue is that now it is being more reported, that's all. You took two examples of bullying from the news and you have a lot of people listening. With all this technology, these cases are being more reported. The only thing that fixes bullies is overwhelming force, a 2x4 at recess time and after school. It worked for me once with a 6f. moron.
I am a high school student, two years ago I cut myself, and last year I tried to hang myself. I went as far as jumping off of the chair in the noose, but then I relized I didn't want to die, and I got out of it. I'm so happy that I was able to get out and I feel so bad for kids who go through with it, because after that I relized I dodn't have to deal with everyone treating me like this, I switched schools and now I'm very happy and made friends. :)

Bystanders need to unite and chase the bullies away and must report any mischief to the teachers or some responsible authority, whether or not they do anything is a different matter. But at least it will be on record that someone or some people complained. The problem is that bullies often act when the victim is alone or separated from their friends or any neutral third party. That is how rapists, thieves and other criminals do their dirty work - like bullies.

Great topic! I was bullied while I was in school. I was 6'2 at 11, called goofy, beating, but when I came into my body I made sure I got all of them back. I'm 6'6 now and the only one I haven't gotten back yet is a preacher now , but I'm looking for him, real talk!

This is crazy. I just gave a presentation on this same subject in an emotional health class... The main thing i found, was how people give bullies power when they look the other way accepting it as a phase or a problem that teachers should deal with. This is not an acceptable behavior- yes behavior which means it can be changed.

this is horrible..i know exactly how it feels 2 b bullied n school...i blame it all on the school teachers and administrators who does not do anything about a situation when a child is being constantly bullied...this type of thing happens day 2 day..thx 4 postin this vid

yeah im talking about the miramar high school in miramar florida... but that's not a small school... and poeple being bullied is not something we hear very often so yeah your right it happens everywhere.........

wow that's crazy.... but at my school which is miramar high school this girl was getting bullied so bad, and no one knew about it, untill she brought a nift to school and stobbed the girl that bullied her everyday in her face and across her eye..... and me being a senior in high school i would have never thought that we had bullies at my school. because it's miramar but you never know.....

But yeah they are trying to come up with new laws about kids bullying each other so hopefully that stops some of it because when it comes to a child killing his or her self that's a problem because they haven't experience the full length of life because it's limited at suicides

You're definitely right. It's tragic for a mother to find their child dead in their room and having to cut them down because they hanged themselves in their closet. People should stop being cruel.

Great topic! I was bullied while I was in school. I was 6'2 at 11, called goofy, beating, but when I came into my body I made sure I got all of them back. I'm 6'6 now and the only one I haven't gotten back yet is a preacher now , but I'm looking for him, real talk!

It's sad, see how you didn't forget. I'm not sure if revenge would be the best thing now. And I am sure plenty women appreciate ur 6 footedness, so don't worry about the bullies. Move on and forgive them in your heart.

This is crazy. I just gave a presentation on this same subject in an emotional health class... The main thing i found, was how people give bullies power when they look the other way accepting it as a phase or a problem that teachers should deal with. This is not an acceptable behavior- yes behavior which means it can be changed.

omgoodness iknow personaly how this affects a family my son is 15 and he is mentally challenge is mind is 8 and the children were we live picks on him and he thinks that these children are playing with him but they are not and when i confront the parents of these children they are not better i even made several police reports and nothing is being resolved so im just going to move from where i live so my son can be at peace

I am so sorry that you and your baby are going thru that. Kids are so cruel and your poor baby doesn't even know that they are making fun of him! My son, my oldest, is behind for his age and the kids are cruel to him. It makes you want to tear them apart because you want to protect your child. I know so well the feeling. Hang in there and give your son a great big hug for me please!
