  • Your going to die a virgin

  • Buddy Holly?

  • just a quick tip... when brent does the sustained notes, you should slightly move the mouth up and down but only about a centimeter for the vibratos or whatever they're called, still great job!

  • Great video!! Combined two of my favorites... The muppets & Brent Spiner. I'm hopefully getting my whatnot tomorrow. Rather than getting mine from the FAO site (because they're sold out) I'm getting te $60 kit from Toys R Us. Not as cool as getting my own fully customized muppet but I do have the bonus of interchangeable features so I can have different characters in the videos I'll be making with mine.

  • This made me smile, laugh, and order one. Kudos!

  • I tried ordering one myself, and my dad used hi MasterCard. But then it siad his card wa eligible for a Masterard SecureCheck or something and wanted this password. here was an option for if you didn't have one whereit said click here in blue letters. Butwcouldn't clik on it. Wa can be the problem?!

  • @grapebuy789 That happened with me but with a different type of card, if you try calling the customer service number on their website, they will walk you through it to fix it.

  • @HaWkBeAtLeSnElSoN I've actually found the solution. The first one I ordered I used my mm's debit card and it went through. I just ordered one for the holidays and my mom's debit card went through again.

  • @2000Buddyboy Was it a Mastercard?

  • @HaWkBeAtLeSnElSoN Did you ever get your thing fixed? If so, how?

  • I went to the FAO website last night and designed a couple and was disappointed! Did you design yours online, or at the store? There aren't many options online, especially for a female monster. Are there more options at the store.(..which bears an eerie resemblance to Build a Bear Workshop...)?

  • @PlushEthnicity

This puppet was designed using only online options.

  • quick question. what style of hair is that?

  • @nicksarria

Watch the video again. During the instrumental break, all the options are listed.

  • Thank you for using the 'old yellow eyes" version of this song. well played ;)

  • Great video! Out of curiosity, what video editor do you use?

  • @J0LaPi

    Final Cut Pro

  • :(( where can i get a muppet whatnot???? i live in the philippines and i cant get one!!! please help

  • lol at 2:13-2:19 he sang so hard his glasses almost flew off! lol I can't decide weather to give mine a trench coat or a karate uniform...desisions desisions

  • you know i have seen so many what not videos and i am starting to think that the hands are upside down on these things.

  • I heard a melody

  • They are COMING BACK for online order :) I work at the site that will be making them.

  • One quick question is the mouth board hard or soft enough to bring in part of the lower mouth?

  • The mouthplate would be considered "stiff". It seems to be a very thin plastic, and the fabric that covers it on the inside is not attached to it, so getting any kind of articulation out of it would be difficult. For what they are, they're really great little puppets!

  • I really wish that the online whatnot maker comes back. I guess it was taken gown after toys r u bought fao. I really want one of these. Also it would be nice if they came out with more close that you could dress the puppet in. Kudos to the puppeteer good talent thanks for the vid.

  • i realy want one but the website is closed right now sooooo im SAD! youd think it would open before christmas. mabey from the catalog.... WAHHHH

  • rofl its the muppet version of Brent Spiner!! *snickergiggle*

  • i think he looks like...PERRY COMO!!! ahaha he's adorable though..

  • ya i think he needs yellow eyes and pale skin. to be Data

  • I love this video! Maybe you can make more?

  • What hairstyle is that on your whatnot?

  • Nevermind, just finished watching the song. Very nice, thanks!

  • im ordering one. does it come with the things you use to control its hands?

  • The puppet comes with one arm rod that can be used on either side.

  • these things are like 130 bucks!

  • actually i think $90 now...

  • that's awesome

What Nots have been used for decades, first time i've ever seen them available commerically under this name

They've had "what not" type puppets, but never under this name and they looked cheap

  • Cool Whatnot! So you made it yourself?

  • No, these are a new product from FAO Schwarz. Look at the info during the instrumental break for the web address. You can mix and match from many different components to create the look you want.

  • No, I was just wondering if you put the pices together yourself.

  • Nice lookin' Whatnot. Plus, what a great song! What does it come from?

  • The song "Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart" was originally recorded, I believe, by Judy Garland in 1938. This particular recording is from Brent Spiner's wonderful album "Ol' Yellow Eyes Is Back" (a reference both to Frank Sinatra and his character Lt. Commander Data on Star Trek: The Next Generation)

  • Very cool!!! I cant wait to get my whatnot!!!
