London is good the first time you visit but after that it becomes and starts to feel like any other modern big city. IF you forget about the names of areas and just consider it areas of land you start to look at things differently. I mean how many chain stores does london really have

I agree with people saying it's overrated. When I was there, I asked someone where the Piccadilly Circus was, as I didn't quite recognize it I guess my American accent did not go unrecognized. The guy told me, "this is the Piccadilly Circus! It's the center of our world, and not yours"...lol

@TheDavidatkinson Everything is under £10 more or less, cheese burgers are like 90p, double cheeseburgers are just over a pound, meals are usually between £5-£6, all drinks are round between £1- £2, smalls and mediums are just over a £1. Oh and McFlurry's are 99p. Hope that helps

i visited chinatown 3 weeks ago. ate in a restaurant on one of the side streets. it was a singapore restaurant. very well priced, but food, although looked good, was kind of tasteless. was a bit dissapointed. walked towards charing cross road, on one of the side streets, a row of shops. there was this really gorgeous leggy chinese woman sitting inside one of the shops. i mean really hot. she looked at me and smiled. i went in and asked for her phone number. she gave it to me. i felt cool.

piccadilly circus was better in 1960's, more stuff to see there. they took down the adverts on the right hand buildings where the 38 bus was going down and made it less interesting and boring. :/ why didnt they just keep it how it was.

Piccadilly Circus is the most overrated tourist place!

It's full of people crossing the road, and the trocadero is one giant games arcade with t shirt shops :| Back in the early 90's until about 1995 the very top level which is now closed off, used to be the Rock Island Diner, below that was Segaworld as u mentioned but that hasn't been around for years now! There even used to be a lazer game and a drop at one time, and until recently bumper cars, but again that closed down a couple years ago

The "Dude on the Tower" is Prince Frederick, Duke of York, the second eldest son of King George III. When he died, the whole British Army was docked a day's pay to build this monument.

The statue isn't cupid, or Eros for that matter. Nor is it a statue of " The Angle of Christian Charity." It's Anteros, Eros' twin.
