I love this song so much. I've just been listening to different versions of it all day, and this is definitely one of my favourites. I don't know about you guys, but I love the odd harmonies!

@HTwenty I agree with you. The chords don't exactly fit the original style of the song. Although... it is an interesting artistic take on the traditional Scottish arrangement, but hey, I'm all for artistic interpretation.

the "ooh"s, not so much... it's either a really crazy arrangement with A LOT of dissonance, or someone (or lots of people) are out of tune...

We sang this in the Northern Nevada Middle School Honor Choir this year. Only the fifty girls sang it, though. When I first heard the soloist, I was thinking, "Hey, I thought this was an all boys choir, so why's he singing the soprano one part?" lol They're really good!

I really really like the soloist's voice, but I think this arrangement fails to capture the scottish feel that other arrangements have.

i reckon the sounds need to be rounder. it's a scottish song so it should be 'bahnks' instead of 'banks' otherwise awesome :)

Hey, i'm in the eighth grade and i sang this song to try out for ACDA (national choir) this year!! Bass 2 though ;)

I made it last year in the part of Tenor 2, we'll see how it goes this year. Back on topic, i think these kids did a wonderful job, truly. I just don't like the no low part concept.

How ironic, you might say, that a bass says this, and i know they are little kids who have yet to fully develop their voices, but i still think they need basses!!
