@DanielleBrittany00 its actually a very sad song, far from pretty...the singer is basically crying in pain about the princess and land "leaving" (being taken away). My korean isnt the best but its haunting to listen to her singing like this and think about what my grandparents went through in korea because of japan...these photos give me chills as they resemble some i have seen at my grandmas house

I cannot give you the excact translation but... Arirang [ 아리랑 ] holds the meaning of suddent leaving / departings something to that derictions... alot of arirang songs are nation or love related..

Actually, the last girl in the photo is not Japanease. I think it is a portrait of the youngest princess of the Korean Imperial family. After that Japan colonized Korea, she was forced to study in Japan and to marry a Japanease nobleman. Although it was not an unhappy marriage, the princess suffered from some psychological troubles after her parents' death.
