  • Interesting video, I like

  • Lol what's Damon doing there?

  • This sounds good, but the studio version on the CD "African Xpress" (a great compilation of African combined with some Electronica) sounds INCREDIBLE!!

  • Love world music, and Damon Albarn just simply creates art the moment he steps upon that stage.

    What Aa legend.

  • fine music, wish I had been there, the rythm and melody add up to the warm atmosphere in Niger.

  • I LOVE this song!!!

  • サックスの音色が不思議色

  • You would think by now that people would be able to enjoy music like this and not be obsessed with race. That's the point of this, music is the universal language. It doesn't matter what colour your skin is. It's about bringing cultures together in a positive way.

  • It is an illegitimate show. An act of musical crime, master without adequate music instrument.

  • Am sorry but I can't stop myself this is abuse of music. How could anyone have a master guitarist on a stage without a guitar? IS like going to seaside holiday and never to play with sea water? Very sad.

  • don't suppose anyone knows the words??? =D

  • @ChanaYah100 You racist fuck. Do you know who also talked about "purity" regarding race? Hitler. Oh, and by the way, rock and roll started with black people. Not that it actually matters though, music is universal.

  • can someone plz give me a guitar tab for this

  • Well, I think the moste people wanted to watch this video because of the white 'boys' name. Damon Albarn ofcource.

Don't be so hatefull or you are no better than the KKK. (not being racist, just being fair.)

  • Smelly rascist fucks like you dare to exist in this world too.

  • @pguyaya racist fuck

  • they need more damon albarn

  • wow.... that's not a shallow or pointless statement at all. how worldly of you!!

  • LOL... that's actually funny. don't know why the thumbs down?? Nigers guys.... no extra "g". A little humor is always appreciated.

  • I agree, maxpeezaay. I have never been into this type of music either, but I got hooked on a movie soundtrack first, then started listening on my own. I really like Afel Bocoum. I'm stuck on their sound and also the music of Mali.

  • Africa is filled with beautiful people and culture. It's just sad to see so many countries ruined by their own government and military. Wish they could have better rights. If we look at Congo, they could have been the richest country in the world, not a lot know that. And thats because of their gold and diamond production. BUT, no. :( Hope the best for our African brothers and sisters. They deserve better.

  • Bro', not all whites are racist. Unfortunately, there are those punks that make those racist staements and they are the true idiots.

  • agree! some people are idiots

  • anitaaford, your just as bad as those who use this slurr, if you didnt get so pissed its powers would be useless! Let it go and so will they, the more you hold your head up above this immaturity the more progress will be achieved, love d.

  • Bro', if you read the book, 'The Journey of Man' by some guy named Wells you will realize that DNA evidence shows that there is Black in all of us as man orginated from the Sans people in southern Africa. And, not all of us whites are racist. I spent 7 years in Africa, 6 as a Peace Corps Volunteer and truly do love the place, its people, culture and sights. I am an American and I don't notice the government and military ruining us or other countries as is happening in Africa.

  • I don't really wish I was black. I don't see the point in wishing to be anything, and that's the point. You're just as bad as the 'racists' you talk about. Oh, are only white people capable of racism? Double standards, anitaalford. Grow the hell up.

  • @anitaalford You're truly racist, did you know that?

  • viva Africa! viva Albarn

  • What an amazing jam! I've loved this album for a while now. So much soul. Can't wait for the rest of the live set to emerge.

  • so no one has heard of one of the longest rivers on earth then, which magically flows almost from ocean to ocean unlike any other river. or the country named for it which happens to border the musical capital of the world (Mali)? "nigers" please, y'all are like little sarah palins..

  • my, how mature we are on youtube...

  • Katz! :D

  • sup niger
