  • pretty awesome. are all of the carts electric or are some gas?

  • @DanFrederiksen 9 of 10 are electric.

  • Rich white people problems

    *sigh*

  • This was the first year i havent gone to the parade! Gosh i miss GA!

  • haha only in ptc......thats why we walk

  • I live in PTC! I've never missed the parade a year in my life! lol

  • one question?....did you personally cause the golf cart traffic jam?....My brother and I did!....was almost a half mile long!

  • Haha. It's probably much more than 10,000 carts now!

  • is this at Put-In-Bay its a island on Lake Erie i thinkm i been there before but when i was 9, they had golf carts all over the place, we rented one for like $50 for a whole day

  • 4th of July, probably

  • How fast do golf carts go?

  • About 12-18 mph on a flat surface, up to 25-30 downhill!

  • thats 36 volts I heard 48 ac motor go 40!!

  • Actually, no, since most carts have speed regulators. If one did go that fast, the engine would be completely ruined.

  • huh? well thats with a DC motor I heard AC uses AC power with is twise as powerful, becuase DC has alot of risistance hold back the full power, brand new electric golf cars with AC motors that can handle a boost like that.

when I bought mind they showed me one

  • on some, including mine, there's a "tow" switch, which completely disables the governer(regulator) and the golf cart can ride down a hill completely powerless as fast as you want.

I've done it several times before...it's fun as hell too..

  • Mine has that too - with an EZGO Precision Drive System (installed in a cart that initially came with EZGO's older Drive Control System). Mine can reach about 25 mph before the governor kicks in.

  • Lucky...mine's a new Club Car, and it's governed at 19.6...and it could go SO much faster too.

  • the top speed on the high speed golf cart is 28 mph (45km/h), yes it has a speed regulator, BUT, if you upgrade the cart's motor from the factory installed motor, it can run fast with the speed regulator, and it does not burns the motor out, I.E. if you have a golf cart has a 48v and using a 36v motor, yes it can burn it out in no time, upgrading it with a 48v HIGH SPEED motor, it will run a long time and no harm to the motor except normal wear and tear

  • Yep, my friend owns a golf cart dealer that sells performance golf cart parts, and the new ac motor systems can be tuned to go 40+. with factory programming they can go around 25. but anything is possible with the new controllers and drive systems.

  • i love golf carts, i should visit your town some time. Wish i had one!

  • ha ha ha haha ha ha.

  • that sounds...

how the hell did you wind up finding us with golf carts!?!

    omfg
